Anthology will be hosting a series of 35mm screenings of gialli by Fulci, Argento, Bava, Avati, Martino, and Dallamano in September. (Though Fulci's One on Top of the Other is 16mm.) See the schedule here.
I'll note Anthology is also screening 35mm prints of Corman's House of Usher, The Innocents, Payday, The Stepfather, Cops and Robbers, The Loved One, and even Mr. Majestyk the same month. Something for everyone! |

I saw the UK theatrical version (with Greek subtitles no less) of Blood and Black Lace in a Bava season at the NFT in London many years ago and most of the murder scenes were hacked to ribbons. The programme notes wacked lyrical about the shot of the blood seeping into the bath from one victim, a shot missing from the print they screened.
