Sadly,another significant writer/director has passed---she had been suffering from leukemia for quite some time---her last film was the hit JULIA & JULIA:
Funny how I've never seen any of her films all the way through, but they did sound like films I normally would have seen, like SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE and MIXED NUTS---I caught BEWITCHED over my sister's place recently, and I did catch SILKWOOD on TV as a kid---I was always interested in the real-life incident it was based on.
