Here's a trailer for the new Dario Argento movie if anyone wants to see it:

I never skip a new Argento movie, but this one really looks like it's...sort of unnecessary.

As with many Youtube videos, it was too dark for me to really tell what was going on. As a trailer, it was done in the insulting modern style where no shot lasts more than a second. Epileptics beware.

It looks like an Argento directed remake of THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. sad.gif

It looks fine to me for a trailer that Argento probably didn't have much control over.

I'll decide whether GIALLO was (un)necessary to see after I actually see it.

Oh man, the reviews have not been kind to this one. I've seen several that say it is "hilarious" when it is supposed to be serious. What in the world happened to Argento?

I agreed with the "unintentionally hilarious" opinions at first, but to be honest the longer the film went on, the more unsure I got. By the end, I was actually beginning to believe Argento was genuinely poking fun at the more OTT aspects of the giallo genre. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I'd like to watch it again from the beginning with that in mind.

QUOTE
“Wow, this is even better than Suspiria!” breathes an awe-struck Ellen Page while watching a scene from Lewis’ shlock-fest The Wizard of Gore with Jason Bateman. Well, maybe, if your idea of “better” is a greater quantity of oozing ketchup and fake-looking intestines.

Hmm, doesn't really sound like I've missed much by avoiding Juno.
