Helga on the Couch, wonderful episode

This episode is one of my faves. Well, most episodes that star Helga are my favorite episodes, but whatever.

Helga on the Couch is a really good episode. We get to see when Helga first met and fell for Arnold...and considering their first meeting, I seriously cannot blame Helga for falling for him. Sharing his umbrella with her? That is so unbelievably cute and sweet! And he complimented her bow..Now we know why Helga wears it everyday!

We also get to see flashbacks of Helga's life...It's so sad that even when she's like, 3 years old, she's already ignored by her parents. I mean, she walks to preschool by herself? Oh, geez.

Anyhow, this episode's really funny, too. Especially when the shrink mentions Arnold.. ("Or we can...talk about Arnold.") I think it's so good that Helga saw the shrink because what she needed most was to open up and feel understood by somebody. She always kept everything in... It just makes you go "Awwww!" when she goes back to hug her psychiatrist... Well, okay, it made me feel that way...

So..your thoughts on this episode?

I love Helga's on the Couch, but it's so freaking sad. It really gave me alot of simpathy(sp?) towards Helga, but I was so angry at Bob and Miriam. Still I love the end where Arnold held out his hand and Helga grabbed it. They were both staring into each others eyes, lost. Yeah, I know they were just looking at each other, but I think the look was more tender and deeper than that.. I'm a romance, what can I say? And it didn't look like Arnold was waiting for just an apology, ever think of that? I know I'm going WAY deep. lol

The first time I saw this, back in (I think it was) 2001. I cried when I saw Arnold holding that unbrella above Helga, and cried hysterically when Arnold gave her his crackers. My grandma thought I'd lost my mind. She says, 'Jennifer, calm down it's a cartoon' but I'm like, 'But it's so cute.. and poor Helga, and aw, I can't believe Arnold did that for her!' lol!

Simply adorable!

Omg! Yeah, it was just really REALLY cute and sweet! I can understand why she fell for him...if a guy did that for me, I'd have a crush on him too.

Hmmm..that is interesting..I never thought about that...I wonder what WAS going on in Arnold's mind then...haha.

Wow when I saw that part for the first time I really thought tht Helga is going to tell Arnold . My eyes got really big and I feel like I'm gonna choke I love romance but I cant handle romantic confession

Man! I'd call child service on bob and miriam! And i was glad that she got it out in the open to Dr. Bliss. She's realize she had someone to talk to and who can hold onto secrets in white houses!
