April 10, 2007 - Welcome back everybody! We apologize greatly for the gap in time where activity died. I got busy and I'm sure that everyone else had reasons as to why our activity declined. I nearly abandoned this site, but I had recent inspiration and Lunar Nights is now back open! Also, Alpha tryouts are still going on. A deadline will soon be set for applications. Much love!

Mountains
The frigid mountains are a harsh territory, always haunted by snowstorms. Even in the summer, the majestic peaks are almost always lined with snow, and the footing can be treacherous. Save for one, tiny mountain, the range is composed of mountains with step inclines and hardly any footing. Although it can be a magical looking wonderland, you'd better watch your step.

Lake
The lake is a sparkling blue pond, with surprisingly clear water that forms from a natural spring in the mountains. The spring trickles into the rocky shores of the lake, leaving a perfect place for either a drink or a very chilly bath.

Plateau
The Plateau is where most fighting takes place. Because of it's high altitude, mist shrouds the battle grounds normally. The only life up here are a few, lightning scarred trees that house buzzards and ravens that view the fighting and pick over the remains. Occasional bones litter the ground, showing the remains of the unfortunate victims.

Forest
This is an extremely large forest that is full of aspens and pine trees. There is a variety of wildlife that lives in the forest, making it an ideal hunting ground. There are plenty of paths and well sized clearings, which are good for holding meetings or waiting for prey in. It's hard to get lost in the forest, just because there's often many paths leading different directions, and even though it's big, there's enough landmarks in the forest to memorize different routes to places.

Meadow
In the southeast, nestled between the southern hills, lies a small valley. The valley has short, lush grasses, and is dotted with multi-colored wildflowers in the spring and summer. It's a good place to run around or relax, and it's fairly warm with some light breezes for most of the year. A small pool of water in the meadow provides a good source to drink from, so the creatures needn't worry about leaving the meadow if they get thirsty.

Waterfall
This is a large waterfall that flows from a cliff, dropping about 25 feet before reaching the pool that has formed at the water's depths. There's really nothing interesting at the waterfall, it's just a nice place for a drink, swim, or just for talking. The waterfall is in the middle of the forest, serving often as a landmark for those who are lost. It's hard not to hear the roaring water once you're near.

Hills
There are a very hills in the southern realm of the lands, they form a chain similar to a mountain range, only much less high and grassy. They curve inwards, towards the land, and the meadow is nestled in the middle of the "C" shape they form around it. The meadows are grassy and the hills are gently rolling, making this place fairly pleasant to visit.

Beach
The beach is where the land meets the sea, and the beach is a long stretch of sand on the coast. The sand is golden, and is very warm during the day, making the tide a relief from the heat. It's a fairly nice place to visit, so long as a storm isn't coming in. If one tired of playing in the warm sands or the cool ocean.

Tropical Forest
This little forest is composed of more tropical plants. It fringes the sands of the coastline, and separates the hills from the beach. The forest is humid and thick with the vegetation that thrives in the warmer atmosphere. Still, you won't see anything more tropical than a palm tree out here, as it doesn't get exceedingly warm even in the southern region.

Desert
The desert is in the southwest, and it's usually quite a barren place. Aside from the occasional creature or cactus, just about the only thing you can find out there is sand. Dunes of sand are constantly shifting in the breezes that terrorize the desert, and save for one oasis, there is hardly any water. The sands are red, and there are some interesting rock formations in the middle of the desert, which can be provide entertainment if you take the time to explore them.

Oasis
The Oasis is the only real source of water in the desert lands, aside from the little pools in the caves carved into the canyon walls, and the small pool is surrounded by palm trees. If you're hunting in the desert, this would be the best place to find prey, as it's the largest source of good water. It's pure drinking water, and it's very cool, considering it's in the middle of the desert.

Canyon
The canyon cuts through the red sands of the desert, an unusual sight amidst all the sand. A very long time ago a river ran through the desert, but it evaporated in the heat, leaving only the canyon in it's memory. Sometimes, the ground where the river used to be is muddy, a reminder of the past water, but for the most part, it's consistent with the red desert sand. A pathway leads to the heart of the canyon, where another pathway leads inside the canyon walls. Inside the canyon walls are large, naturally carved out caves, which provide good dens for any creature that wishes to inhabit them. This is an ideal shady rest spot for any creature traveling through the desert, but look out, or you might find yourself sharing a cave with another creature. Sometimes water drips down onto the floor of the caves, forming small, temporary puddles, but this is an unreliable water source.
