 To Whom It May Concern, Sometimes, when you’re down and out it doesn’t seem like there’s anything or anybody that could ever pull you out of it. Staggering down the street with nothing to see but this hazy fog of everything eating away at you, all you have left is yourself and no matter how hard try and deny it, that’s never enough and nobody else can understand you. Hell, why should they? You don’t even understand you. You’re in a part of New York City crawling with starving artists looking for that one thing, that one true calling that will color their black and white world. That’s you and you are them. When your personal life is your work and your work is made from your personal life. You are your work and your work is you. A true masterpiece is made with blood, sweat, and tears. A true masterpiece takes a lifetime. We’re all alike here, aren’t we? Looking for that missing piece in life we may never find. None of that matters though, it’s every man for himself out there in the real world but in this world, anything goes. So, no matter what your medium may be, whether it be song, studio art, film...can you find that one piece? The gem in every artist’s life that completes them, that douses the flame to their emptiness? You never know where you might find it. It could be found in hitting just the right note, painting just the right line, or even somewhere in your dreams at night. It’s New York City. You’re an artist.
