Oh, all right! Here's what I said:

Dear Alexis,

As I understand it, it was Nolan who had the idea for LOGAN'S RUN. Then he described it to his friend, Johnson, who was interested in it, too. Nolan & Johnson wrote it together, in the same room. . .and after they finished the book, Nolan revised it. So, the novel is 2/3 Nolan and 1/3 Johnson, I'd say.

Apologies for my weak French. blush.gif

"Logans Run" and "Logans World" are tied,in my opinion. My preference is the MGM movie version, which would of been even better if they would locate and include all the deleted scenes.

I have read the trilogy only. Logan's Run was the best, no question.

Logan's World has too many plot holes and contrivances for me. Charcterization is off. That's why I was VERY disappointed with no sequel movie : I was hoping for MGM to improve it with the changes tht they would have to make.

I like Logan's Search a whole lot as the plot fantastic as it is, it is very tight. Characterization is strong as well. The only problem I have with it is that since it takes place on a an alternate earth it has no bearing on this one and the issues Logan has in his world are never addressed fully.

Logan`s Run is my favourite with World close behind.I enjoyed Logan`s flashbacks with the R-11 and his confrontation with Gant and Evans.

I agree with you Francis 8 there should be no aliens in the Logan`s Run series which is why I didn`t enjoy Search as much but I did enjoy Nolan`s swipe at the movie version of Renewal in the from of Godbirth.
