With the release of Logan's Run on Blu Ray coming next week, the early reviews are in.

Please post as you find them here to share (good or bad).

Here's the first one I came across....

The DVD Beaver has posted a review (with screenshots) of the upcoming Logan's Run Blu Ray disc.

http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDReviews4...run_blu-ray.htm

The reviewer feels that many scenes appear 'soft' and thinks that the colors appear 'dull' in some scenes. He also notes that because of the higher resolution, the Carrousel cables are more noticable.

He ends by saying: The Blu-ray transfer didn't encourage any appreciation from this reviewer - but does admit that his memories of LRs appearance are over 20 years old.

No mention of film scratches that ticked me off of previous DVD release. Would like to know if these we're cleaned up.

Here's a new review released over the weekend that offers more details in the Blu Rays image quality and soundtrack.

It does appear that the image has been cleaned up a bit and you can notice more detail on the costumes (specifically the Sandman tunics) as well as the wires in the Carrousel sequence. I guess if you don't want to notice the wires as much, then you'll have to go back and watch your VHS version of the film.
