iam legend enjoyed it but not a patch on omega man
king kong too long and loads of bull**** pading / god knows what the extended cuts like
planet of the apes should have been a lot better/ boring & so slow/ has its moments though
war of the worlds liked this apart from the so quick ending
rollerball poor decent action though
ill think of some more?

remakes i did like
dawn of the dead not as good as original but still very good
the fly absolutley brilliant
invasion of the bodysnatchers 78 another excellent film

I agree with all of your above comments, Austin6, and would add the following:

Liked:

John Carpenter's The Thing
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (still prefer original more though)

Disliked:

Rob Zombie's Halloween (vulgar piece of garbage)
Psycho (Hitchcock films require absolutely NO meddling with)
Rollerball remake
Planet Of The Apes remake
War of the Worlds remake
King Kong (way too long for what it is. Jack Black mis-cast)

On I Am Legend - I didn't really care for the remake. The creatures were nothing like they were supposed to be from Richard Matheson's book which killed it right there for me. They were vampires! The real version to see here is the original with Vincent Price "Last Man on Earth". Follows Matheson's book and ideas the best!
