Here's where all of us can post mistakes, doubts, questions, unsolved mysteries etc. and debate over it. No spamming here, serious talk.
I thought a lot, and i came up with three two interesting points:- Question 1: Rowling has stressed on the fact that slytherin does not allow half bloods, let alone mudbloods, into their house. And it has also been stated that Voldemort is half blood (so is Snape, as we find out in HBP). So how the hell are they allowed in Slytherin?? Question 2: When Harry and Dumbledore go to find and destroy that horcruxe in HBP, they find that a certain R.A.B has replaced the real one with a fake one and that he is out to eliminate voldemort. Obviously, R.A.B is a mystery man, who obviously is an important character, though Rowling hasn't even formally introduced him. Who do you think he is? what is his importance???" -------------------- |

Question 1: Although true, I cannot deny any of your facts, the truth of the matter is they both can be extremely evil at heart, and therefore be put into the Slytherin house.
Look at the sorting hats' quote for Slytherin: Or perhaps in Slytherin You'll make your real friends, Those cunning folk use any means To acheive their ends! They're cunning, which means they think things out or, and what I find as the aggressor here is that, they are crafty and deceitful, or misleading. Which means a couple of things. 1. They could possible deceive even the hat. 2. This contradicts the first, as the hat may be able to sense this deceit and therefore judge and rule in that favor to Slytherin. Now, I refer back to the quote for this line: To acheive their ends! Obviously their ends is their ambition to show they are unique, and powerful, or even, smart. This is where Voldemort would thrive in as he did intend, trully, try to do anything to acheive his ends; meaning, he did things in order to gain supporteds/followers, and to gain certain artifacts, even. He even went to prolly many lengths to get a teaching position. And, another things about Voldemort, is that he is the heir of Slytherin, no matter what, or how his blood is mixed. Somewhere in that line is Salazar Slytherin's blood - his mother's, as you know. And, if you are an heir of one of the founders, it could only be natural that you end up in their house. No completely true, but one can assume, with great interest, that this is true. Question 2: R.A.B. I believe, and many others as well, whether when they read along, like I did, and read it, or came on the net to find some answers, or whatever. I believe R.A.B. is Regulas [pending his mdidle name] Black. Remember he got deep into Voldmort's ranks, and than wanted to back out, and was to be killed for this? Well, it is possible that he knew of Voldemort's horcuxes, as he was in deep, and got frightened by his master being almost invincible, or immortal. Now, as there is no middle name given, or a latin-find of anything much resembling a middle name for him, it is a guess. But, many guess this is it, but this could not be true. This R.A.B. can be a new character for all we know. I actually hope someone will actually debate things with me, on this, and not be frighten by a long post. Bastards. <_< -------------------- |

Heh, i aint scared of ya posts. I actually liked that someone seriously answered those questions.
Well, even if Voldemort is the heir of slytherin, he is half blood. But that point seems to be clarified, and i guess that i can accept that snape was in slytherin. About R.A.B., you may be right, it is Regulus ??????? Black. Atleast that is the rumors, and there are various theories based on it too, all of them which make sense. This link actually states that it is proven that Regulus is the mysterious R.A.B.:- http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizards/regulus.html But, there are other possibilities. Infact, people have made the wildest theories, Like Horace Slughorn, Sirius's grandfather and even the Lestranges!!!! And they do make a lotta sense. http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editor...bjtexan01.shtml http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editor...-bboyle01.shtml http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editor...graceli01.shtml http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editor...astillo01.shtml Well, these links should take you to all the theories i found. Anyway, by the time you guys read em and make your own theories if you must, here's another puzzler. We all know that Snape wanted the DADA job ever since he joined Hogwarts. DUMBLEDORE NEVER GAVE IT TO HIM. EVER. Then, suddenly, why does HE GET THE JOB, in HBP?? It doesn't seem like anything to debate upon, but it is a mystery, in my view. I do have an answer for it, here:- http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editor...it-rand01.shtml note:- i dont know it thats the correct link.... try it out and see. Also tell me your views on this. Till then, any other questions from anyone else?? -------------------- |

I think the reason for his appointment to the DADA job is because Slughorn had always been a Potions teacher. Not a great theory, or guess, but seems relevant enough. =\
And, nice finds, though. ^_~ -------------------- |

nah, i think that the link i gave has a more accurate answer. Obviously, since Mcgonagall swore that she would do all she could to help Harry become an auror, Snape was given the DADA job. Harry could take up DADA, since he got good OWLs in it, and Slughorn would allow him into the Potions class.
anyway, any other question, query or important thingy regarding any HP book?? -------------------- |

Because you people wanted a class schedule and now no one can advance anywhere since they have to wait for someone else to post, beforehand, and wait til class is over, and all other kinds of BS!
That's why I never opted to make this a class only RPG. But, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, people had to bitch and complain about it, and wanting it, well look where it's gotten everyone; me and you post in this one thread, and Ice rarely shows, and only posts once or twice anyway. That answer your question? -------------------- |

Didn't JK say there was gonna be a big discovery found-out in Book 6 about Lily?
And, if it was the part about her being good a potions, than I don't see how that is so significant. And, what about the eyes? Wasn't that suppose to be revealed in Book 6, as well? What about them? Besides everybody recognizing the similarity between hers and Harry's? -------------------- |

hey now thats a point! but maybe her being good at potions is significant.....
what if she and snape were in love!!! i read somewhere that this was a strong theory... snape, halfblood prince, and lily evans, good at potions.... a connection. though it is a really wild theory and makes absolutely no sense, it is a possibility. there is a theory regarding this on http://www.veritaserum.com in the theories section. -------------------- |

That'd be kind of stupid if Snape was almost Harry's father, or something. =\
