Controller Wars, Which Controller Is Better?

Personally, I don't like thick, bulky controllers, which is bad for Xbox. But they have this really cool one that weighs alot less. I think it's just a different brand, not a MadCatz.

The Playstation controller is a good one, light and everything, but there are so many buttons! I find the only good button layout is for Kingdom Hearts. All the other games use really akward controls, if you ask me. And I play ALOT of Playstation with my friends. I really like the MadCatz one, because it's really small and all the buttons are close. That's the problem with the regular ones. The X, O, Square, and Triangle buttons are spaced out alot.

The Gamecube has the A, B, X, and Y buttons bunched up (!) and it's pretty comfy holding it. The only problem is that the Wave bird is super duper heavy (for a controller) and also I always press the wrong button (X and Y) THEY LOOK ALIKE, AND THERE IS NO COLOR DIFFERENCE!!!! Oh well.

I like Madcatz. I love making fun of them too! Hee hee. But I love all the PS2 controls well most.

Playstation, when it comes to control and comfort, has the best controller. I don't like it when buttons are all bunches up, because then it's a strain totap even one. But the PS2's controller has good spacings, easily reachable pads, an anolog/D-pad choice, and a comfortable hold. It's always been my favorite, and as of now, always will.

I don't like the buttons far apart.... but your preference is your preference.

Buttons far apart is bad. However, the PS controller's buttons aren't far away from each other. In one neat, little quater sized circle. . Yay. buttons bunched-up makes for straining button-mashing. For instance, the Madcatz Dreamcast controller. HUGE. It was...HUGE. BIGGER THAN XBOX'S ORIGINAL CONTROLLER. JUST...HUGE. And to add onto that, the buttons were very, VERY close to each other. Absolutly IMPOSSIBLE to jump and attack at the same time, I'm not kidding.

That's so odd. And it was spam. And it's okay to have typos Larkamai. No one but you makes fun of them. Anyway back on topic. I've never used the madcatz dreamcast comtroller. Are you sure it wasn't for people with big hands? Kuz madcatz make those.

Yes. I bet if I posted a completely well-thought-out and intelligent post about playstation controllers - which I was GOING to - and you didn't like it, you'd tell me I was rambling and to stop it. That makes me sad.

*I* think the playstation controller is better, because with THAT controller, you aren't... STRUGGLING to hit and twist the right things. o.O I know that with me and my semi-un-coordinated self, if I have to do something quick in a video game and the controller is an odd shape, or is too large, or something, it REALLY hinders the way I preform. *cough*nintendo*cough. Meanwhile, the playstation controller is comfortable, small, and very easy to use. ^^ The buttons are easy to memorize - so you don't have to always glance down - and the shape is very well-designed. I wub mah playstation controller.

Very nice standing point! I's agree with you on all that. If say, I were a beginning gamer, I'd honestly go with the Playstation controller at first glance. Luckily, I started videogames when I was young, only 5 years of age. To add to that, I started with the N64. So, I developed coordination very quickly and easily. Since then, I've never had to look down at the controller. But, like I said...were I a beginner, I could never master the gamecube's controller. x_x

I am a beginner, and the gamecube controller frightens me. xD The fact that I have limited game coordination doesn't help, either.

Oh...(pats Kat)...Then you're right. The ps2 controller is easy on the flesh for anybody, especially someone like you!! TEH CONVINIENT!

I would agree. Y'know, before the Xbox and PS were out, I used to think that the N64 controller was confortable. Now, it's not as comfortable as before, because it is SKINNY LIKE A SHEET OF WET PAPER! The GCN, Xbox, and PS controllers have a comfortable thickness to them... that N64 doesn't offer..... though N64 is a great console.
