Yeah, far, far too big.

I think you should cut it down by at least half.

It did come out a little larger than intended, but it's got a back-story now (the shaper managed to nick it from an Ork killa kan or Deff Dread somewhere), so assuming I can work a decent servo-arm to help him hold it, the saw stays! I do have a backup, in case it really refuses to play ball.

At least it really fits the description of an eviscerator now - huge, double handed, and I can definitely see that cutting up a landraider! krootXD.gif

Edit: There are a couple of options I can see for mounting the thing. First is to have the blade vertical, with one handle coming from the plane of the blade, and the second perpendicular to it. This is equivalent to the normal way of wielding an eviscerator. Second option would be to have the blade horizontal, with two identical handles coming out of the top, perpendicular to the blade. This would result in it being more like a giant hedge-trimmer in movement, moving it side to side and hoping to lop a head or two off...

Which would you vote for?

Managed to snap a pic of the backup weapon - that's the same model holding it up as for the Saw one, to give you an idea of the scale. If it doesn't get used on this project, it'll be replacing one of the early, really rubbish eviscerators I have from when I was just starting Kroot Mercs.

I say at 45 degrees.

Don't panic; the oversize chainsword is a backup for the circular saw, in case I can't get it to mount properly. I think I might have gone a little OTT on the size of the teeth for it though.

45 degrees, eh Wetcorps? Are you just saying that to be awkward? kroottongue.gif So far, I'm leaning towards the hedge-trimmer mode, as it should give the best freedom of movement, and not get in the way of the shaper seeing quite as much!

I had a little free time last night, and wanted to see if it would work. I ended up going with the 'hedge trimmer' orientation, mainly because it looked really silly otherwise. The servo arm is just a skeleton at the moment, but the main arm is a single piece of wire-core plasticard tube, which helps to give the whole thing some strength. The fuel tanks are sticky-tacked on for now, but eventually will link up with the saw's engine.

So, what do you think?

I saw this one Librarian online n was going to comment but figured I should look here first krootveryhappy.gif

gotta say I'm loving the idea of this guy just running head long into units and tanks with the blade in front of him. Not sure that I like the 2 hand grip. looks a little odd but can't think of a better way of doing it. krootveryhappy.gif

Whats the next step?

Thanks Turbo. The next stage will be either GSing the bodies and/or the servo arm, or sorting out the fuel tanks properly, including a feed hose to the motor. There should be a sense-link cable coming from the back of the shoulder blaster at some point too, as well as a head. kroottongue.gif

The main problem with him is that the blade is racing along at just above a Guardsman's head, but it should do for tanks and characters...
