Title: Hey guys!
Description: introduction and a few questions

Hey everyone, I'm so glad a found this site, it's very useful, and the pics of a lot of the models are inspiring!

I've had kroot for a while, but only recently have my hobby skills been able to do them justice... I'm a pretty casual collecter, but I love all aspects of it- hobby, gaming and backround etc. I'm just starting to put together a mercenary force, and in regard to that I have a few queries:

I have the original white dwarf with the kroot list in it, but have heard that there have been various updates for new models. Where can I find these without having to mail order a huge Imperial Armour update for, say, a single page detailing the rules of a single giant space-chicken?

I have, however, read the Kroot "Kodex" you guys have put together, fantastic job! In regard to actually using these rules, however, I need to know if they have any "official" standing whatsoever- not because I don't like people coming up with their own ideas, but because I'll be playing mainly in GW hobby centres and small tournaments. I know that the great knarloc rules and stuff are probably the same as the forgeworld original, but I've noticed some subtle changes in points value from the ones in the original WD article. Are these officially updated values, or just what you guys thought was fair? :|

Sorry about the long post, by the way, any help would be greatly appreciated

cheers!

Welcome to Kompletely Kroot mrlobster,

Kroot are awesome models to convert and they're a lot of fun to play. I also have the original Kroot rules from White Dwarf (issue 266). Here is a link to the most recent Chapter Approved":Kroot List You can download it for free. The only difference I see is that the number of Krootox per Herd squad is now 3-5 instead of 5-10.
As for the Kodex Kroot, it's a great list, but you will definitely need you opponents approval to field it. I recommend trying it because it's so versatile. If you have any questions feel free to ask via post or private message(pm).

Another difference between the WD article and the website updated one is that the number of hounds in a hound pack has also been reduced.

Hey I am new here too but I figured I would say something about this, if you have access to an Imperial Armor book I think it is volume 3 it also has a bunch of rules and such for the Kroot Knarlocs and other Forge World related Kroot models.
