Axl Rose and the Bad, Bad Lyric

Just listening to the MySpace stream of the new Guns n Roses album. Any album that's taken this long to make has surely got to be worth one listen at least, yeah?

Well, I was rewarded with the single worst lyric in rock history.

But that's not stardust on my feet
It leaves a taste that's bittersweet

I think that's what you call a mixed metaphor, Axl, and it has just left me with the indelible image of you licking an unidentified substance off your own feet.

Pip suggested that it might actually be sherbert.

... Or talcum powder.

I posted about this on another forum I hang out on, and someone suggested Bold 3-in-1. My argument was that, although someone would be more likely to step in Bold 3-in-1 than sherbert, the lyric would then be more likely to go;

But that's not stardust on my feet,
It leaves a taste that.. Jesus! It burns! It BURNS!!

Is talc bittersweet?
