At last a show's TPTB, can do an ending right. Although I thought the last bit with the coin was a little mean, at least the Harm/Mac fans got what they wanted. They are engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!

:prop: :bouncy: :hms: :clapping:

Can you tell I'm happy?

I thought it was a lovely ending. I knew they weren't going to let us know who would be resigning. If I were Mac, I would give up the marines, because, well, Harm's job is better. You should have seen it, Anne! It was wonderful. I am sad that it ended, but I am glad that they tied up loose ends, and kept people in character. And they ended it before it jumped the shark.

What does that mean? I'm sure I should know it but I can't remember.

On the series Happy Days, near the end when they were REALLY low on new ideas, they had the Fonz waterskiing (in a leather jacket, of course) and made him jump OVER a shark (like he couldn't have just gone around, or something). That signaled the beginning of the end of the series. I'm glad that for JAG, they weren't resorting to stupid stunts just to keep the show going. They ended it before it jumped the shark.

There's also a whole website dedicated to when tv series jumped the shark. Makes for interesting reading to see when shows lost their sparkle for other viewers.

Thank you both for your answers to my question. And Rina that website was interesting too.
