Hi there - I'm Amanda47. Well, that's not my real name - well part of it is ... I really am Amanda, although my friends all call me Mandy. Or at least most of them do. But there were already 2 or 3 Mandys in the J/C world, so I decided to be Amanda. But I only added the 47 because Dakota told me to - I'm still not sure why.

I live in Canada, in Toronto. I live a hectic, chaotic life. I own 2 online businesses, and am in the process of opening 2 more. Why? I have no idea ... I currently work 20 hours a day, spend 2 hours a day driving my husband to work and back, and force myself to sleep 2 hours every night (can you say sleep disorder?...)

I have an 18 years old cat, who passed his best before date about a year ago, but he still hangs around. He's deaf, so he doesn't have to listen to himself yowl at the top of his lungs for several hours everyday. Thankfully, he sleeps most of the time :) Unlike my newest pet, a rabbit. She doesn't sleep either, so she's good company.

I found online fanfic about 2 years after Voyager ended. I forget where, but I was hooked immediately! I try to write, but don't spend enough time at it. I have dozens of storylines roaming around in my head, but they'll have to stay there until 'later'.

Oh, and next January I'll be 50 - on my 25th anniversary, no less.

You were registering the nick on mIRC and Amanda with no number was long gone. The 47 is Voyager's number, or so I was told years ago. :blink:

Now I get it - although I wasn't really worried about it, I just like to blame you for things <vbg>

it's not just limited to Voyager....it 's a Star Trek Phenomena that spans all of the series...... and lately I've even started to see the number 47 pop up in other shows as well :/ go figure or maybe the writers are just trek wannabes :)
