Title: Trindajae A.k.a. Angie
Description: I may look normal, but...

Trindajae - November 29, 2003 02:03 AM (GMT)
Hi, I'm Trindajae, a.k.a. Angie. I found this site through the JCFicHaven mailing list. I am a freak, specifically the type of freak that you don't really know is weird until you sit down and talk to me. I can do a very good "normal" impression when I want to. I am a fan of Star Trek. I love all of the series, but especially Voyager and I'm a definite J/Cer (C/7 just seems wrong to me).

I still love the Matrix movies even after seeing Revolutions twice. I am a huge Trinity fan. After seeing the very first flying kick Trinity did while watching the first movie, I leaned over to my dad and joked that I had found a new role model. My dad just laughed.

My other passion is X-Files, mostly up through season 6, though there were some good episodes during season 7. As soon as Duchovney left and Anderson took a smaller role, I really lost interest. Then I went to college and no longer had free time. If I'm lucky and work really hard, I can look at the TV once a week and watch an actual show maybe once every other week. I am (predictably) a die-hard Mulder/Scully shipper.

As for the rest of my life, I'm a college junior studying sociology. For those who don't know, that's one of those degrees that you get when you don't know what exactly you want to do with your life, but you're pretty sure you want to work with people. Sociology is like psychology in many ways, but it's not the same thing. Psychology looks at one person to figure out why they're screwed up. Sociology looks at an entire society to figure out why its screwed up.

My non-television/non-movie interests are drawing (I'm not very good at it), singing (see drawing), computer programming (only in HTML and Java, though I plan to teach myself C++ for the hell of it over Christmas Break), and martial arts. I've studied Aikido a little bit (less than two years due to frigging budget and time constraints), kenpo an extremely little bit (one semester), and I'd love to find somewhere to study jodo and knife fighting because one of my life goals is to learn to be really deadly with a hiking stick or my boot knife. I go on lots of camping trips in the middle of nowhere and I'd like to be able to defend myself against animals I might meet (especially the two-legged variety).

If anyone has been a member of Aikido-L, I'm Angie the Flying Monkey. (For everyone else, it's a long story.)

Let's see... anything else I want to write about? :beta:

I don't write much fan fic or really anything at all. I've got a couple pieces on fanfiction.net and on fictionpress.com, both under the same pen name I use here. I have written some X-Files fan fic, but not since I was 14 and I don't think I want to show that stuff to anyone until I revamp it. (I write a lot better now than I did 7 years ago.) I have not written any Voyager fics since I was an aspiring screenwriter at age 12. I don't have any of that any more because we switched computers and all my files and disks were lost. Probably just as well...

Oh yeah, one more very important thing about me... I am a compulsive talker and I type fast. I will do my best not to talk anyone's virtual ears off.

Welcome!

And you should really learn C# instead of C++. I mean, come on, it's 2005. ;-)

The thing you gotta understand about me, though, is that I don't necessarily want to learn it because it's useful. I started teaching myself basic last summer for no reason, and I still occasionally enjoy pascal...
