I've only been playing Second Opinion for... three days, I suppose, and I have a knack for making stupid yet amusing mistakes.

For one thing, how many people, on the first operation (with the glass shards in the arm), picked up the glass and barely missed the tray, resulting in the shard jamming itself back into the wound and Derek getting yelled at for his patient abuse?

Another stupid mistake I made was actually the dumbest thing, and it took me longer than it should have for me to realize that I was doing it. I can't remember what mission it was, but it was one that involved draining the area after making an cut to get the... for lack of better term "bad stuff" out. Well despite all of Angie's little comments, I refused to use the drain and kept using the antibiotic gel to cover up the wounds. I mean apparantly I was getting points for it, so I didn't see what the big deal was until my patient kept dying on me.

Speaking of the gel, for a long time I would screw up the early parts of an operation because I forgot to use the gel on the place where you had to make an incision. I mean it would definitely explain why it took me so long to get the cut right. XD

And you really should see some of my failed Healing Touch attempts. I mean it's one thing if it looks almost like a star, but I've surprised myself with how un-shapely my lines end up. I mean I don't even know what happened this one time where my Healing Touch was just a big squiggle from one end of the screen to the other.

On another interesting note, I once pulled off the Healing Touch when the patient's vitals were at 1. I love barely saving people...

I got pissed off and one operation, so I slashed the patient to death. It was hilarious hearing "slash slash DOCTOR DOCTOR VITALS DROPPING! SLASH"

XD I've almost wanted to do that. In fact I think I should try it sometime.

Haha I get hella into this game...i dont think Ive ever come across a game that makes me swear quite this much (minus pokemon lol). Its the worst when youve nearly beaten sabato and you are tryin to rack up points by suturing those flower lacerations and he beats you...actually its only funny in retrospect, I dont think I was very aused at the time, I believe I took some creative liberties in my use of the english language... shit-sucking pussy-asses made it somewhere in there, if memory serves

I really don't swear much, but I do argue with Angie a lot.

"Doctor! Vitals dropping! Hurry, Doctor!"
"Shut up, woman!"
"Doctor! Drain the area!"
"Don't tell me what to do!"
"Vitals dropping!"
"I'll drop YOUR vitals!"

Heh. Okay, so today I thought "I haven't played Trauma Center for about two weeks; I should get back on track before I lose my skill."
I put two more attempts into mission... 3-4? And I managed to beat it (but for some reason my arm kept shaking and I freaked out when my brother spoke to me). Fun. Then some storyline nonsense, dialogue, then mission 3-5 I guess. It's the one where it can be total instantkill if you're not handy with the laser.
Now, what's annoying about that one is, it's not even that hard! But I kept losing anyway. And it was funny because I would barely miss one of the panels at the top and the laser would go off the top of the screen somewhere, but still, it's:

Cybil: Don't do that--!
*BOOM*
[Restart Operation? YES/NO]

Now, if Cybil knows exactly what to do, why doesn't SHE handle it? And why does Derek just happen to have his medical supplies with him during the meeting?

I do love how that particular mission doesn't have the usual Game Over mess when you lose. XD

Yeah, and now that just reminds me of the "my vitals are dropping" line from my pervy little comic. XD
I kind of noticed that TC is a game that I really need to force myself to play, because I have no motivation to play games that I'm not very good at, no matter how great the game is. =/

Okay, this just happened to me less than five minutes ago, and it was hilariously pathetic.

I was on Mission X-4 (or as I call it, The Pempti Level From Hell), trying to beat it for the second time (you guys who have been to that part of the game know what I mean by that). Since I don't have an actual strategy for that one, I just have to rely on using the Healing Touch at the exact moment. Well, I did that, but I barely kept the patient alive long enough to kill the GUILT off. By then, though, the organ was covered with lacerations and those little gaping holes that come out when those little tumor things bust. When the Pempti died, my patient had exactly one vital left, so I was thinking, "Okay, as long as I use the healing gel right away, his vitals will go up just enough for me to finish the level."
But no, the game wouldn't give me even a second to do anything. I lost that final vital as soon as the Pempti-defeat-animation ended.

So what it looked like was:

DEFEAT!
[OPERATION FAILED: The medical board will be notified]

XD I was pissed at the time, but in retrospect that was pretty funny.
