    Personality:
If most people choose to describe Amanda in one word, it would most likely be something that's synonymous with kind. She's without a doubt a very warm-hearted person, often made evident by the small smile that she naturally has no matter what. If you need someone to talk to or vent at, Amanda would be your girl. She's usually more then willing to lend a helping end, and it's highly doubtful she'll say no to anything if you ask her. In that sense, though, you could also say that she can sometimes be a bit of a pushover. She has her limits, of course, guided by her own morals and views, but if the request is generally reasonable, she really is happy to assist in any way she can.

The artistic side of Amanda also comes through in her personality. She's had a love for drawing, painting, photography, and more, for several years now. This is turned her into a rather creative person, but not just for school projects. If faced with a tough problem, she had the ability to think of multiple ways to solve it. In her opinion, there is never just one way to look at something, or someone and she's good at seeing the beauty in those things that most people might miss. Because of this, she's very open-minded to anything that's different, and is almost never one to judge. She pretty understanding to the fact that there is always more than meets the eyes. This also means that she's willing, and interesting, in always trying and experiencing new things.

However, to be honest, not too many people get to see all these different sides of her personality, because Amanda is pretty shy and quiet as well. At school, people seem to generally like her, but she's been a bit too reserved to get really close to anyone. The one or two people she is really good friends with get to see a more fun and bubbly side of Amanda. However, to everyone else, she's just kind of the "nice girl who sits in the back". Overall, she's been okay with keeping to herself most of the time, but as high school progresses, she's starting to reach a point where she really wants to be more confident and outgoing. Her junior year is over halfway done, and she hasn't even found the courage yet to speak to the boy she's had a crush on for months. Amanda doesn't want to have any regrets, so pretty soon she wants to try to start taking more chances, and hope for the best.

    ===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family: Margali Sefton (Mother, Age 45), Richard Sefton (Father, Age 47), Stephen Sefton (Younger brother, deceased)
Place of Origin: Bayville, New York
    History:
Amanda Jimaine Sefton was born sixteen years ago on a warm spring day in April. She was the first child of Margali and Richard Sefton. Her parents both came from New York City, but after they got married they both decided they wanted to live a city that was a bit more more calm and safe. So, they had both moved to Bayville a couple of years before Amanda was born. Her early childhood was simple, but comfortable. Her mother was a teacher at the local private school, while her father worked as an accountant for one of the banks. Personality wise, her parents were both wonderful and loving, and quite frankly she was a bit spoiled as the only child.

However, she wouldn't be alone for long. When she was three years old, she had to welcome her younger brother, Stephen, into the family. Like most first born children, she was originally jealous to no longer get all the attention in the house, but naturally that changed over time. As she started elementary school, and became a little bit more mature, she fell into the roll of big sister happily. Sure, Stephen could be pretty annoying when he wanted to be, but despite the age difference of three years the two of them were each others friends as well. In fact, their whole family was rather close-knit.

Tragedy struck the Sefton family, though, when Amanda was 12 years old. It was during the middle of January, and her whole family was in the car driving back from an evening out. The roads were pretty icy, and though her father, who was at the wheel, was doing his best to drive carefully, it was impossible to see the patch of black ice that was on the highway. The car spun out into the opposing lane, and was swiped on the passenger side, before crashing hard into the railing. Amanda initially blacked out, and awoke only briefly to find herself pinned and trapped in her seat against the crushed side of the car. Immediately she began panicking, and eventually blacked out again (and since then she's had a fear of small spaces).

The next time she came to she was lying in a hospital bed. Amazingly, aside from a broken arm, some cracked ribs, and various other bruises, she was overall okay. Her parents had similar injuries, but nothing to grave. Her brother, unfortunately, had been sitting on the passenger side in the back seat, the area of the care that had received the most damage. They had tried to save him in surgery, but he had died before she had woken up. To say she was devastated would be an understatement. It was extremely difficult for her family to bury Stephen, but they tried their best to move on.

Amanda was in seventh grade at the time of the accident, and she was having trouble coping with the loss of her brother. Seeing this, it was her art teacher who encourage her to try letting out her emotions and pain through more creative means, in hopes of helping. She was willing to try anything, so pretty soon she was sketching or painting on a daily basis, and she was pleasantly surprised to find that it did help. Thus, her passion for art was born. Amanda finished her 8th grade year at the local private school (the same school where her mother taught), but decided that she wanted to attend the public school, Bayville High, for freshman year. She had become pretty introverted after her brother's death, and hoped to continue this path of recovery by going to a bigger school.

Her plan didn't exactly do the way she hoped. Being rather overwhelmed in a large school where she didn't know anyone, Amanda didn't exactly make very good improvements in the shy department. However, she still did like the school, and it wasn't like anyone was mean to her or anything, so she stayed put, continuing to find peace with her art when she needed it. Both Freshmen and Sophomore year flew by with little incident. Admittedly, she did make a couple of friends finally during that time, and thought she was getting a little more comfortable with who she was.

Junior year began about the same, except with one key difference. About the second month into the semester, Amanda began to notice a new student that was in a couple of her classes, whose name was Kurt Wagner. Perhaps it was just because she was intrigued the first time she heard his accent, but suddenly she subtly...observed him sort of when she saw him around school. It was difficult to place her finger on it, but there was something about him that seemed different, in a good way. Her nerves prevented her from ever approaching him, but she soon began to develop a crush on the boy. Now the second semester has started, and her feelings for him haven't really changed. She wants to find the courage to talk to him, and maybe then find the courage to be more assertive in other areas, but so far nothing has happened.

RP Sample:
Amanda was sketching absentmindedly in the corner of her notebook paper. Sketching was probably a bit of a stretch though, since it didn't really look like anything in particular. More accurately is was like the hundred of other random doodles teachers would find in the small open spaces of her notes or assignments. Most of them were rather used to it now though, this far into the year, and even sometimes choose to make additional comments on them. 'At least someone is finding them interesting,' she thought wistfully, turning the tip of her pencil to make the final line of the picture. Hmm...if you squinted your eyes, maybe it looked a little bit like a cat actually...or perhaps a...

"Miss Sefton?"

Realizing that the professor was suddenly calling her name, the brunette girl immediately snapped her head up. "Yes?!" she replied quickly, and little bit more loudly than she meant too.

The teacher gave a slight disapproving look, but continued. "Perhaps you can tell us what two styles of writing William Chaucer used in his Canterbury Tales?"

Amanda immediately felt a blush rise to her cheek, though she hoped her dark skin would help to hide it. It was obvious by his tone that he didn't think she had been listening...which she guess she technically hadn't been. Still, she immediately racked her brain for the answer while she subtly gazed down at the notes that were outline in her doodles. "He...wrote two of the stories in prose...and the rest in verse, right?" she answered, her voice quieter, but also little more steady. She hated being put on the spot, but a most of her was fairly positive that was the correct answer. The teacher still looked at her a bit suspiciously, but thankfully gave a short nod of agreement, before he continued on with the lecture.

She gave a silent sigh of relief, and slowly relaxed into her desk again. English was usually one of her favorite classes, so it was rare that she would let her mind wander this much. She didn't know what was causing her to be so aloof today. Well, maybe that wasn't the complete truth. It might have something to do with the Valentine's day dance poster she had spotted right before she had stepped into the classroom. Or mainly, she had noticed that it was supposed to be a Sadie Hawkins dance. Upon seeing that, an image immediately popped in her head of a certain dark-haired foreign student, and while a part of her encouraged the idea, another part of her shook it off right away. He was always hanging around a ton of pretty girls that lived at that institute with him, and most likely one of them had already asked. 'You could still try,' a little voice in her head argued. However, knowing it wouldn't do her any good to began another silent debate with herself, she tried to keep her eyes on the board instead.

Hey Gwen!

-I'm- really sorry about the delay; I was out of town this weekend (though I should have gotten to your application much earlier regardless). However, we can get started asap. Your image for Amanda is a little too big for our restrictions, so if you could resize it to 350x350, that'd be great!

With her personality, there are some contradictions between her Evo-personality and this one, and I think by integrating more of Evo-Amanda into the bio, she'll be more multi-dimensional. As weaknesses, you have, - Shy, - Isn't very assertive but I'm not sure that's a hundred percent true all the time. Yes, she's initially shy when she asks Kurt to the Sadie Hawkins dance, but Amanda is also rather candid about her feelings for him and the fact that she doesn't care about how he looks, or the reason he is wearing the gloves. She also insists pretty strongly that he teleport them out of the gym when things become really dangerous. She frequently makes the first move with him when they are a couple, such as reassuring him repeatedly about coming to dinner with her parents, showing a lot more confidence about their reactions than Kurt.

Not only that, but she jumps into the fight between her boyfriend and Toad when they're fighting over the inducer - in an effort to pull Toad off of Kurt, and in the end, she defies her parents in order to continue dating Kurt despite their rules. She's very vocal and displays some definite assertiveness for her own feelings and for him, and I'm not sure all of these traits are presently explained in her personality. She seems to be fairly opinionated about things she believes in, and I think that could be more thoroughly explored in the personality traits.

That being said, the death of her brother seems fairly dramatic (perhaps overly so), for the way she is portrayed in Evo since she really isn't -so- withdrawn (which is the result of the death). If you could work in some of those more assertive traits into her personality and reflect them in the history, I think we'll have a more well-rounded sense of who Amanda is.

But that's all I have for the first few review; by board rules, you have five days to complete the requested edits. Just post in the bio when you've finished, and if you have any questions/concerns, don't hesitate to let me know! :]

Thanks so much for your patience!
Jocey
