My chocolate Mini Rex doe is about 3 days late. I can still feel the kits moving, but she is extremely tiny, bred to a larger buck. I'm worried she might be having problems passing them. I had heard of giving does fresh parsley, so I bought some and gave her a couple sprigs. I also had heard of feeding them a tums, so, I did. I had also heard that you can breed the doe and it will induce labor......and I did.......

Still nothing....

Does anyone have any other ideas.

I've heard Lavender, but it works really slow(my experience).

I'd try and get that doe some oxytocin! I only give just 1/3 of what they are supposed to get.(So you don't rupture the uterine). But I've had a doe who was X-rayed, had babies in her, and 2 doses of oxytocin, and never got them out. We finally had them surgically removed and spayed the doe. blink.gif

Good luck! I hope someone can be more helpful than me. 6082.gif

TUMS always worked for me. You can probally give her another one in a couple of hours.

Sorry, don't think that was much help. Good luck though.

She finally had them, yesterday. But, they were already mummified. I gave her parsley and tums....I finally just gave her all the parsley I had left. I'm going to try rebreeding her to a smaller buck. The buck I bred her to is 4 years old, 5 pounds, and has always produced big babies. She on the other hand is almost 2, weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces, and is just tiny.

black raspberry leaf tea!!! brew it up like the instructions say let it cool and give it to her in a bole with the tea bags (remove the staples first). I have a doe that I thought was late so I gave her 2 packits of the tea brewed into 1 cup (like the instructions say) 10 mins after drinking some and eating 1 pack she went into labor and pulled a buntch of fur. a couple houres later (I guess she was wating for it to get dark) she kindled 8, 1 DOA (It must have been the first that she didnt clean fast enough). the babys and mom are all happy and healthy now!!! I tryed EVERYTHING with this doe also (I took her for a couple long walks, gave her a bunch of parsley, tryed massaging her tummy, tryed bathng her in worm water, tried this, tryed that and still nothing!).
