Is there a chat / shoutbox?

That's a good question, and I know many sites have them. It is something the staff has been talking about and will be looking at doing down the line. ^_^

Hello :-)
I hadn't noticed that you had this thread, i probably better ask here then on rpg-d. :-)
Do you have a word count? My posts are usually around 250 words, -give or take some - and i always make sure to not be under 200 words.
And i wondered how you handle activities with require a teacher/school staff? Can i expect to get an answer in a resonable time? I've been on other boards where a lot of (staff) members had known each other and tey only seemed interested in their own chars and i had to wait for weeks (if ever) to get an answer...
Thanks!

Hello Mia, about your question on the word count, there's no specific limit but it is always encouraged to write good quality posts and 200 words sounds good.
The staff here oversee things and are really active. There are times when RL gets crazy for them (doesn't that happen to all of us) and some might not be around much but there will always someone to answer your questions. Not only staff, the students will also be happy to help you in any way they can.
It's always great to have new members and we do everything we can to make them feel comfortable and at home. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. ^_^

Adding too that Professor's will respond to a personal message alot faster then a question placed around the website, But us students are always willing to help as well. Ooops Nevermind Laura covered that as well....I shall be running away now.

Thanks! Sounds good to me!
I think i'll give this board a try. :-)

Thanks so much for asking questions, Mia! As you see, everyone will jump at the chance to make newer members feel at home. ^_^ We do have some staff not around of late, but most will answer a PM if you question is more specific to their subject or expertise.
The Headmistress and the Dean (me  ) are around a lot as are quite a few other staff members and we can always count on our students to be around to aid in you settling in.
I really do hope you give us a chance to show what a great place this is! B)

Don't we have a school newspaper somewhere?
I was looking for it today but can't find it anywhere. Can students submit articles? I think it might be something fun to get involved with, but if it doesn't exist anymore than that's fine too...
