HI all

well after nearly 15 years i've made a return to Fantasy started with Lizardmen the dinosaurs appealed to the kid in me but couldnt settle so now am back to the army i started fantasy with all those years ago. The High Elves.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and say i look forward to gathering your collective wisdoms and advice.

Greetings. Welcome to the forum, though sadly this place is pretty much dead. May I enquire where you heard about this place?

The High Elves are a pretty cool and competative army in 7th edition, LM are a bit tougher but HE look cool. :P

If I should reply for finding the site myself some two years ago, I just typed
"High Elf" forum
into the Altavista search (the one I prefer before the google, even if the search engine might be almost the same), and this place was No.1 hit back then (even if the link was to the Battlefleet gothic thread).

Aye we did used to be the number one hit on google, we have since fallen so far off I don't think we appear at all anymore. That was based on traffic, which is why it was high before but not now. I am interested to see where the steady trickle of new people are coming from, maybe if we put out a few links and such the place could get going again..

I think its more that the appeal of Fantasy has been fading for a while and it now becoming more popular again. New members are searching far and wide for forums and it appears this forum is going through a revival.

Hm if that is indeed the case maybe we should start a push to get the forum going again...

Wow. That is a nice showing of faith. I'll try to get as back on the warvault list then and look around for other places to advertise. At the moment I have plenty of free time to post and possibly make changes to the forum.

This would be the second time that you and I have attempted a revival, isn't it? Last time was in a different dry spell, though.

Yeah and I have no doubt it will be hard to get the place going again, but I am confident it will be possible. I am doing Honours this year so I have a lot of time sitting in my office procrastinating doing work. :P

This time we are successfully on warvault, currently sit 25th on the leaderboard for WHFB sites. Every time the banner loads (ie. we get a hit) it helps, and people can vote for us by clicking the link as well. I'll look into the LO banner exchange as well and see if we can get on that.

I'm might see about giving the board a new skin as well.
