Hi, guys. Must say I don't post much, but I do do a lot of lurking and I love these forums!
Even a big Hershey fan like me can learn stuff from here!

Now, my question is regarding past Halloweens at Hershey. I know they right now have "Hersheypark in the Dark", a totally family friendly event. But, for some reason I remember (I'm 16, so I was probably really young, around 7 or 8) there being a haunted hayride by Wild Mouse before the Boardwalk, back before Nightlights or around the time of Nightlights. Now, this memory is fuzzy, so I'm either right or wrong. I'm thinking now that I'm wrong with this memory, but now I'm very curious. Was there ever some sort of haunted hayride in the location I described, or any type hayride for that matter?

Thanks guys!

They did have the Haunted Harvest a few years ago, but I guess since it wasn't their cup of tea they decided not to do it anymore.

Yes they did have Haunted Harvest in 2004. Nightlights ceased operation that year too (there was no Nightlights, Frightlights or Brightlights for STITP, HPITD or CCL that year, all remnants were removed in late 2005 with some being used in the Boardwalk now). You entered Haunted Harvest through Wildcat Catering, and it took over all three of those catering areas back there. I believe you exited through Pioneer Frontier Catering over by where Howler is now. I heard lots of good reviews about it and that it was popular that I think the park, at one point, was planning on bringing it back for 2005 by offering a survey to all Sweetmail subscribers about what they wanted to see for Haunted Harvest 2005. But I think at the last minute, they decided against it since they wanted to keep HP in the Dark a "family friendly" event.

The Haunted Harvest never worked out for HP. I remember hearing the story of Haunted harvest on the web site and thinking that was just wrong!!!! I knew it wouldnt last.
