The other four days Saturday through Tuesday were spent at Six Flags Great Adventure. I had a great time. Saturday was crowded, but the other days were not bad at all . There were probably less than 300 people (non workers) in the park by closing time on Tuesday.
Christian Music singer TobyMac was at the park on saturday. Theis concert attracted a huge crowd. The arena holds 10,000 peopleand there were still people waiting to get in even during show time. I was one of them. :( :( What I saw of it was good, he sang his popular songs. By the way what ever happend to Hersheys Christian music day?
Construction is still happening on the new Xploratorium. It will open on July 1.
On Saturday night the park has their Glow In The Park parade. Why doesent Hershey have any parades or night time shows anymore?
Medusa was transformed this year to Bizarro. The ride now features buildings, lights, fog, headchoppers, trains with speakers, and fire.
Some of their Living Statue Garden
They have a Cyber Cafe in the park. Park guest can use the internet on computers for free!
The Great Adventure Safari is the largest Safari outside of Africa. It features animals from all around the world.
This week ESPN is having a professional outdoor bowling competition at the park. It will be broadcased on tv. They started construction on it on Sunday.
New this year the park redid their Big Wheel. They gave it a full paint job and replaced all the lights with bright LED's.
I dont think I could ever do this. (They are checking the cabels on the Sky Ride.)
This park is themed very well. You know what section you are in. The rides are themed to each section. The actually try to theme the park. For example their wild mouse is not just a wild mouse, it is indoor and has A LOT of sceanery and effects in it. It is themed on the Dark Knight.
All rides were open everyday.
I love going to Great Adventure. It is one of the best parks I have been to. Their workers are nice. They have a nice viriety of rides. I plan on going back many more times this year. If you think of a perfect amusement park this (Hershey and Busch Gardens Europe) are as close as you are going to get. The only problem with this park is their lack of indoor shows. They ahve a big indoor theatre that they wont use.
