Fan Fiction Recommendations

Here are a couple of Fan Fics that I highly recommend. One is brand new, and the other has been around a while but, if you haven't read it, you need to.

Post "Damage." One of my absolute favorite fics, an Angel centric vignette interweaving his memories with his desires.

Excerpt: “He just let the fire come. He looked..peaceful.”

And Angel could see it. Rot and cinder, flesh and fire, End of Days, and Spike probably had to tell Buffy to leave. Probably more than once.

Angel can’t remember if he held Darla’s hand, at the end. He can taste cold rain and her ashes on his tongue. Can see Fred kneeling by the baby, looking like the Virgin wrapped in his battered coat. Can hear the click of a long-dead madman’s crossbow. But Angel can’t remember what he did with his hands.

He knows he reached out for Buffy when she killed him, but it was too late. Hell was coming for him, and he couldn’t touch her and he didn’t leave any ashes.

My Own Private Idaho by Desire
Christmas post-Chosen. Buffy's being a Grinch, much to the annoyance of Dawn and Andrew. And just when she thinks the holidays can't get anymore hectic, she finds out that Spike is undead and kicking when Angel calls to wish her some holiday cheer.

Mortal Wounds by Treacle-Antlers
Buffy tells herself that she's perfectly content with The Immortal, but a frightening dream puts her on the edge and a package courtesy of Angel has her facing demons of both past and present variety.

I'm feeling lazy, so I'll track down some more later. ::yawn::
