The weather for today is rainy.
Wait. What?

"Are you kidding me?" the girl asked herself as she read over the paper for the upteenth time, "I'm in the co-ed dorms? Nononono...There has to be some mistake."
Obviously, Gwenivier was not happy with the selection of rooms. The girl was determined that this guy was going to turn out as some sort of stalker and watch her sleep. How utterly crepy.
Gwen was shaking her head as she sulked her way up to her dorm room. This year was going to be awful. Back home, if she was paired with a guy, then she would never get an ounce of sleep; the idiot would be throwing parties every two seconds.
As the female walked into the room, she sighed a small 'Thanks' seeing as how he wasn't there. Yet. Maybe he would drop out?
Wishful thinking, Gwen.
She flung her suitcases on a random bed and started placing her things in the closet at the foot of it. At least this room was larger than a box. Maybe, if Gwen asked super nicely, the headmistress would allow her to paint the room? Maybe. Gwen hadn't actually met the woman, but with the information her father had given her, she was old and stiff. Ah well.
After packing, the closet was now a multitude of colors and designer clothes. Perfect. And now she would have to find another place to put her shoes, seeing as how all of the space was taken up by shirts and jeans. Not perfect. Later on, Gwenivier thought, I will have to start a petition for larger closet space.

Alexander Burton was not the sort of boy who should have been stuck in a co-ed dormitory. For one thing, he was very bad at talking to girls. You wouldn't expect him to be - weren't gay guys notorious for being great at talking to girls? - but he was. The other thing was, he'd heard all the rumours about what people got up to in these dorms. And he was gay, and the idea that some random girl he hadn't even met might hit on him rather alarmed him. Plus, the fact he was loathe, for some reason, to admit that he was gay to anyone meant that he wouldn't even be able to tell anyone.
How typical - tons of guys would probably love to be in these dorms. And instead, he was chosen, possibly the worst guy ever, considering the circumstances. How stupid. Maybe he could swap dorms with someone...? But no, he couldn't imagine that strict old cow letting him. He would bet it was her who'd chosen him to be in here. Typical, typical.
Anyway, the piece of paper in his hand rather alarmed him. Gwenivier was, quite simple, a girl's name. And this was the co-ed dorms. And... here. Here was the room. He groaned inwardly, pushed open the door.
She was busy doing something with the wardrobe - typical girl stuff, he thought gloomily. Surveying her, he walked into the room. She had this long hair that was kind of a pale blonde; from this angle he could just about see that her eyes were either blue or grey. She was quite pretty, he supposed - at least, she wasn't disfigured, as far as he could see, and she wasn't ugly. He was no good at judging prettiness, really.
"Hi," he said, rather nervously. "I'm Alexander Burton - Zander. I'm supposed to be rooming with you."

"Don't wanna be an American idiot.." Gwen was singing as she heard th door let out a sort creek behind her. Oo. Were the rumors true? Were there indeed ghosts in the school? One way to find out.
Gwenivier whirled around to find a slender boy with white hair standing near her. On spotting the white hair, she screamed. Simple as that. What else are you supposed to do when someone sneaks up on you in a supposedly haunted school with white hair, hm?
"Hi, I'm Alexander Burton - Zander. I'm supposed to be rooming with you."
Oh. Um. Not a ghost then. Perfect...Now she would feel like a total ditz. How awkaward.
"Er. Gwenivier-um-yeah," she stuttered. The girl was still a bit skeptic on the fact that he was not, indeed, a ghost. So why not just make things more awkward by going and poking him? Things couldn't really get more uncomfortable anymore, so Gwen stolled up to him nnonchalantly and poked his cheek softly.
"Oh good," she announced, "You're human! And to think I took you for a ghost..."
Oh, what a day. Good thing she was heading to bed in a few, or else she might embarrass herself even more.

ohohcee ZOMGTIMESKIP! =D bic Instead of the usual alarm clock, the light coming from the single window in the room woke Gwenivier up. Ugh. Didn't sunlight just ruin everything, in the morning anyway? There wasn't much, seeing as how the school amd surrounding village was always covered in gof, but it was just enough to set someone in a bad mood.
The girl thrust her comforter off of her and slid her feet on the floor. Stretching her arms high in the air to stretch, the female cast a glance toward the boy on the other side of the room. Zander right? She had best go wake him up before morning bells did. That wouldn't be a pretty sight.
Slipping on some fuzzy slippers, the girl slinked to the other side of the room and gently shook his shoulder.
"C'mon now. Wake up. Classes are in a couple hours. Get uuuup."
She left him after a while so she could slip into the shower. They better have enough hot water, she though, or someone's going to have a cold shower. And it better not be her. No one wants a snobby girl with no warm water.
Luckily, some other student hadn't used it up and she had a quaint shower. Stepping out, Gwen covered herself in a towel, still in the bathroom of course and dressed herself in black capris with a plain black, of almost the same shade, three-quarter blouse. Black, black, black. That was the theme for today.

Zander could sort of feel her shaking him, hear her voice, but he was half-asleep. It all seemed like part of a somewhat blurry dream. Only a dream...
It was only the sound of the door closing that woke him up. He groaned. Light was beaming down at him from the window, hurting his eyes. He forced himself to get out of bed, and surveyed himself in the mirror (yes. There's a mirror, kay? xD). His hair was messy and tangled. He searched for a while in his bag, then eventually found a comb and tugged it irritably through his hair, trying to avoid it getting caught. It didn't work.
He yawned and stretched; everything he was doing, he did in a sort of asleep zombie state. Morning, already? How awful. He splashed some cold water on his face, and when he was fully woken up, got dressed.
Classes are in a couple hours.
Oh God. He really, really couldn't be bothered.

Gwen almost looked like an old-fashioned beatnik from the fifties, minus the bongos and the beret. Though the girl did think that she had one in her bag someonewhere.. The beret, I mean. It was left over from when her school did a musical and she and some other girl had played thsoe characters. Hey, if it's in style, then why throw it away?
She stepped out of the bathroom to find the boy dressed, but hating every minute of it.
"Good," she said, "You're finally awake. To answer your question from last night about the 'me thinking that you're a ghost' thing, yes. I did. You have white hair and I just read up on this school's history. So. You startled me," she finally finished, stating it matter-of-factly.

"Oh. Of course. I have white hair so I must be a ghost," he said, but then he started to laugh. You had to admire this girl - she didn't even know him and yet she looked perfectly confident, even when talking about ghosts.
"I'm going out, now," he added. "I want to see... the school."
Actually, he just wanted to be outside for awhile; it would wake him up more, and anyway, it would be cool not having to worry about being late for school. {ooc} Ew. Short post, but I have to go.

Gwen was thinkinga bout scowling; what he said started out as sarcastic and, what she thought as, rude. But then Zander had started laughing. so there was her sue to take it lightly.
"Yeah. Well. When you sleep in a supposedly haunted school, you tend to get on the jumpy side."
The girl nodded as he said that he wanted to see the grounds. Who could blame him. The place was a tad stuffy.
ohohcee: SHORT ALERT. But. I didn't see it gonig anywhere, unless you wanted to add something then I'd edit it. xP
