Erm, sorry, my keyboard crashed. Here's my audition.

he park was semi-lit, as the sun was only just rising. It was a mild, early-winter morning, but there was already a thin layer of frost covering the grass. Frosty brown leaves were swirling round the bottoms of trees by the wind. There was path, barely visible under the leaves and frost, that snaked through the park. There were black metal benches and a few street lamps edging the path. Next to each bench was a small green bin. Why the tidiness? It's a nice park, so why not keep it nice and tidy?
Guess what, there were even flowerbeds. They were planted in pretty intriciate patterns, making it impossible to kick a ball about without trampling the flowers.

Why have we concentrated on the park? Oh yes, that's why.

Across the street from the park, there was a row of houses. All except one house had neat, tidy grass in the front gardens, all except one house had plain curtains drawn tightly across the windows. That one house had grass in the front garden, but it was messy and in need of cutting. And then cutting again. There were no curtains in the house, apart from one room. Grey with pink polka-dots curtains. There were small holes in them, as if they were old, and the stitching at the top was coming undone.

And why have we concentrated on this house? Oh yes, that's why.
