These are some rules on classes.

All classes can wear light armor. (Cloth Armors)

Melee Classes (Man-at-Arms) Can wear plate armor.

Rogues and Archers can wear tough leathers.

The only class who can use claw weapons are Rogues.

Archers are limited to ranged Weapons, and possibly a dagger.

The only magic user who can wield weapons and wear tough leathers is the Combat Mage.
