It originally cost $100,000 and thus only used by large companies.

What's working right now:
  • Log in and create your characters, customizing them as you see fit
  • Can support thousands of players online at once
  • Basic combat and experience gain implemented
  • A beautiful detailed world to run around in
  • NPCs
  • A quest system
  • Vehicles

Requires Maya or 3D Max for its artwork. If you are an artists, let me see what you can do, and we can work out a fair deal.

Coding is done through scripts. Doesn't take a lot of programming knowledge to manipulate existing scripts and make things happen. If you would like to try that, let me know. Check out their website, see what it looks like, and if you have ever programmed in anything at all, you might want to try this.

If you can do sound effects or even music, and work cheap, let me know also. I'll be getting that done later on.

My game is currently titled Rebirth. More details will be coming later on.

Only two games were ever made with this engine. A Star Wars game that used a lot of its own code, there an article I read somewhere about the problems they had, and Faxion, a game made by another company with millions of dollars from their previous games, and many paid programmers and artists there to help them. Faxion took 18 months to make. The Star Wars game took years.

So the dream of just a handful of guys going off on their own and making this dream happen seems a bit discouraging. But I'm not giving up hope yet. Surely at least a basic game can be made with it. You never know until you try.

Oh, and games don't start off with all the scripts from the Hero Journey example. Insanely enough, they make it impossible to even copy those over. That would speed up development immensely, but I can't convince them of that fact.
