Withdrawn tutorial. We withhold the right to withdraw tutorials if certain parts of tutorial are rejected.

It's one thing to Have the URL at the bottom of your tut.

which is ok if your an active member, but you just joined and posted these like you can advertise your site no problem.

And to link the tuts, come on!

Part of my sharing of tutorials is linking the tutorial back to the site which helped create it. Its made by a site so it deserves credit. I also add the URL at the end of the tutorial.

Your other admin disapproved of this and took the tutorial down so I also took all my tutorials down. If you are unwilling to accept the whole tutorial then its fine with me but it comes as a whole.

Companies and organisations dont just give out resources without credit or some sort of advertising attached.

Feel free to delete this thread.

But you also had no permission therefore had no right to just advetise... without being an affiliate or having permission it's considered spamming.

If you cant see that then it's fine. I dont mind the link on the bottom of the tutorial... the URL.... but to have it directly linked w/o permission.

Companies and Organizations dont just give them out you're right... but they get advertising because they PAY to. Do you think the commercials are just put on TV with no fee? You can't be serious. You are an invision free board, you are doing anything but being an organization or a company. You are not paying for it. So therefore the same things do not apply.

Now, im not suggesting you pay to put up your tutorials, but to have asked permission is all that you would have needed, but instead your first posts here were tutorials as advertisments.

In case you havent noticed we have plenty of tutorials, your tutorials arent even what we need now.

Read the rules.

That would be relavent if it was at all what I was saying but its not. Resources, are not given out without some sort of recognition, advertising or otherwise.

Your saying read the rules, thats already been established why do you feel the need to reiterate others? When notified I took tutorials down. Besides, a breach of rules is only compliant with what you deem to be advertising. Which, in my opinion is not what Im doing. If you have a problem with people openly sharing tutorials then thats ok with me. If tutorials are not "even what we need now" then thats fine.

As far as I see, there is nothing more to say. If you are too 'official' to allow others to direct your members to a further bank of tutorials then that is worrying.

Good luck with your forum.

How many times do I have to say it?

You wouldnt let me where a sig linked to a site that you didnt ok, especially if the site is in direct competition with yours by being of the same type of board.

People wont let you were sigs linked, have text linked, so what makes you think that you can link a 400x1000(estimated not true sizes) file? It's complete ignorance.

Who says anything about being "official"? I never once said we are "official." I dont even know what you mean by "official."

But think about it, someone joins your board, and just posts stuff linked to their own site. Never posts anything else, no one even knows them, has no permission at all to link to the site. You arent gonna be like, "oh hey an inactive member thats just gonna link up to their site... well at least he's posting tutorials!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif "
Think about it...

Ignorance is not a good thing. But Good job trying to sound all professional using your fancy words, but this is the freakin internet, it's a board of 16 year olds (roughly). are you trying to win the spelling bee, no one freaking cares.

Next time, you wanna link your site and get the word out... dont insult the intelligence or quality of the creator.

Again, and I dont know how much I can stress this right now, all I am getting from you is....

IGNORANCE
