.::Campaign Information::.

.::WELCOME::.

The Fix General Hospital campaign will target Disney executives and show sponsors in an effort to return General Hospital to its former greatness. To this end, we will demand balanced and thoughtful storylines, character integrity, respect for history and vets, and meaningful family, friend and love relationships.

As fans both old and new, from many and diverse fanbases, we will not tolerate the further degradation of this program, its characters and its history due to careless and sensationalized storytelling catering to the least common denominator and focused on a select few characters. We deserve and demand better. Our unified campaign begins here and now.

As a participant in this campaign, it is imperative that you read the Board Guidelines. Strict adherence to these guidelines is what will give us the synergy necessary to wage a highly effective campaign.

.::THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO FIX GENERAL HOSPITAL::.

-Spread the word! Let's get out there and recruit any and all fanbases we can. Link up, affiliate, advertise in your sigs on other sites-- tell anyone who will listen about this campaign, and bring them back here: Fix General Hospital

-Get involved! Check out the forums below, stay current on campaign initiatives and share your ideas for making this the most effective campaign possible.

-Send your Phase Three postcards NOW, and get your family and friends to do the same-- the more the better! Send Phase One Postcards and Phase Two Postcards too, if you wish.

PHASE THREE IS HERE!

Hear ye, hear ye! Phase Two of the Fix General Hospital Campaign starts here and now!

Our second wave will be another postcard mailing on 2/2, but this time, the postcards will direct TPTB to our shiny new campaign website! It's a very simple site that basically says everything that would never fit on a postcard-- things TPTB need to hear about. The text on the site was based on the wish list formulated here.

Here's a link:

Fix General Hospital Campaign Site

As the site is primarily geared toward TPTB, we did not link the forum, but there is a contact page for potential new recruits and anyone else who stumbles upon the site.

For now, this forum will continue to be the real nerve center of the campaign, so keep it bookmarked and visit often, because this is where all updates will be made.

Here is the postcard for Phase Two:

(Posted Image)

You can go ahead and print it out now, but please hold off on mailing until 2/2, so we can flood their offices with our unified message for maximum impact.

Until then, please keep recruiting and spreading the word. Every single one of us will make the difference!

Thanks again everyone, for all of your hard work and thoughtful participation. This is a very special group, and I'm so proud to be a part of it!

What a fantastic idea! I will definitely participate. GH hasn't really been the same since I started watching it in 1997!

For those of us without a printer...or lol in my case a printer that is broken, what can we do? I've emailed and called, and I am spreading the word. What else can I do?

Thanks for asking Heather! You're doing all the right things. I'd just add writing out some postcards or letters by hand. Snail mail is always more effective than e-mail, because it's tougher to ignore.

Welcome to the campaign, and thanks for being here! :)

Is it better to write a postcard or a letter? For example will a letter go unopened? I ask because my printer is broken as well.

If your printer is broken, then sure, do letters-- everything helps! The postcards are useful, because when so many of them come in with the same message, it lets TPTB know that yes, something's up, and these are probably worth reading. It's creates a visual impact and a volume impact that's harder to ignore. So, ideally, postcards, but if not, definitely write letters!

Thanks for asking! :)

So, this list of people to target is very similar to the other list? It just doesn't include the writers...right?

Well, Guza's there. The campaign's main targets are Disney and sponsors, since ABC and GH have been less than responsive in recent years. Basically we're including Frons and friends as a way of putting them on notice that we're going to the top of the food chain.

Hmmm... they are the same size as the Phase One cards. I don't know what program you're using to open them up, but maybe you could resize them? Click and drag the edges in a bit? Let me know if you're still having problems.
