Sorry, this one is a little blurry, they were right outside my window stealing bird food from the feeder. I have one where they are right at my window looking in, I have to look for it when I get more time.

Oh the turkey and babies are soooooooooo cute. I get ducks and babies but no turkeys :-( We have lots of bufflehead ducks and they nest in trees and when they cut through our yard to get to the clay pond, my cat gets the babies. I saved two from him last year. I swear I get so mad when I see him packing a baby duck in his mouth I could shoot him. Last year I caught him and shook him and the baby fell out of his mouth and started running all over the yard and I had no idea how fast a baby duck can run but there was me and the cat and ducky all running our heart out all over the yard with me screaming my head off. I caught him finally and put him in the clay pond but I never saw him after that. I would love to have turkeys at my place. I bet a big turkey would hang a licken on my cat :-)

KK, Isn't that fun? I have chased my cats through my yard looking like some wild woman, yanking mice, rabbits, & birds out of their mouths, even took one to a animal rescue thinking it could be saved. My family thinks I'm... cheerleader.gif
My lovely cat Mikey, killed a big beautiful pheasant in my yard, broke it's neck. I had a male & female that would come to my yard every year well,....Mikey took care of that, nice cat! Mikey got wacked by a car a couple of years ago, almost bought the big one, he was thought for dead! uh, he doesn't go out anymore, so some animals are surviving in my yard laugh.gif

Hi Koi Krazy
Many years ago Dillon came in with a large cut to his head just behimd his left ear hich we had to get patched up at the Vet's/
A few days later we were talking to our neighbor's Bill and Val when Val said that she had witnessed Dillon homing in on a wood Pidgeon he pounced on the unfortunate bird and as he was about to strike out of nowhere dropped a large Buzzard who was as intent on the Pidgeon as Dillon was , the outcome was that neither Dillon or the Buzzard got the bird, who took that moment to split and head to the tree's.
Dillon for his trouble recieved a nasty gash and since then hasen't ever hunted for birds again (he's none too bright is Dillon) he probably thought the sky had fallen on his head poor boy blink.gif ohmy.gif cryingbig.gif

Hi Koi Krazy
No he still ventures out but is extra careful to avoid birds lol meaning the front and back gardens have a steady stream of feathered visitors lol.
Suki our rescued female is non to keen about venturing out doors so is no threat either.
Dillon is really a great big softy (a little like his dad lol) he's all fat and bluster (not Dave) when it comes to seeing off other cats on his bit of turf.

I love turkeys! I just think they're wonderful, I don't know why. Wish I had some, with babies. I had three adults come to the bird feeders this fall, but the cat chased them off. I wish they had stood up to the cat.

Now a cat that eats squirrels, that would be something! One year I would consistently get 15 squirrels at my bird feeders, and that was a bit much.

Now that we have the cat that moved in, I am trying to fatten him up and hope he won't eat every outdoor critter he sees, come spring. His other duties will include chasing away other neighborhood cats from his territory. I'm probably dreaming, though, and I can see myself following Rosie's footsteps, chasing, screaming and yanking critters from his mouth laugh3.gif

Hi lantern567
One of the oddest things ever that Dillon brought home for us was a Guinea pig alive and with not a mark on it apart from a puncture mark in it's ear, at first we thought it was a hedgehog but when we looked closer we found a Grey Angora (I believe thats what they call them), any how we managed after placing posters around the area to find it's owner an 8 year old girl who was more than pleased to have it back.
Ever since Dillon leaps up and stands in front of the TV when he hears one on the box laugh3.gif laugh3.gif laugh3.gif laugh3.gif laugh3.gif , hes not bright is our Dillon awww
