I saw that in national geographic on line some months back.

Now this is an ugly fish (another Angler) - be sure to click the "expand for more" button to find out why only the females need the lure that they use to catch prey blink.gif

Hi ColdGold
Man that is one bug ugly fish and if I remember correctly the male leads a Parasitic existance attached to the female. This is because at the depth it inhabits there are few chances to find a mate so once you got one, then have him move in so to speak  cattail.gif  laugh3.gif  laugh3.gif  laugh3.gif

Great fish. If I had the time, experience and money, I would probably keep an Anglerfish/Frogfish. That fish looks wonderful though!

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif yes i would DEFINETELY want one of those but i'm thinking it would require a HUGE tank and it would be illegal to own one of them.

Actually it's legal to own certain reef frogfish, but you can't own deep sea anglers.
You are right on the huge tank though...and add to that most won't eat commercial fish food as they are wild caught.
