I saved some frog eggs from our pool. We think they are treefrogs. They are now tadpoles. I am feeding them algae from our pond. What will I feed them if they start turning into frogs?
They are best released, but I'm sure pinhead crickets, wingless fruitflies and the like are a good starter food.
Hopefully someone who knows more could tell you more.
Newly morphed frogs will only eat tiny live animals. Some pet stores sell wingless fruitflies, blackworms, and pinhead crickets. It takes a while for them to be large enough to eat mealworms, waxworms, etc. It can be hard to get them to eat so release is the better option.
