Title: These Pond Plants Need 2 Go

tlc - August 5, 2008 04:56 AM (GMT)
I took an inventory of pond plants that I need to thin out.
I have some Water lettuce- 2 big ones and some small ones, 3 or 4 hyacinths and 8 or so sprigs of Parrot Feather. Any one willing to take them all off my hands can have them for the price of shipping. I can't guarantee that you won't get any snails with them though. They aren't perfect plants but I'll pick out the nicest ones that I have. If you don't take them then I'm leaving them out and throwing them in the compost.

I'm interested! Lster, I'll ask my mom but can't right now since it's like 5:00! (5:19AM)

tlc I would love to have them. I don't have anything to exchange for them except horwort. I am willing to pay for the shipping and packaging. Let me know. Thanks.

Kenny and Whisper, I just checked, hyacinths and water lettuce can not be shipped to Texas and Florida. I assume that they are an invasive species??? Only the Parrot Feather can be shipped there....
I don't need to trade for anything. :)

TLC, I would love to have the parrot's feather. How much is shipping to 70726? It doesn't have to be priority or anything. I already have both hyacinth and water lettuce.

NEA, I think I can get them in a Priority Mail envelope, without squishing them, which is $4.80 and the postal calculator says 2 days to you.
You can PM me if you want them. :)

I guess they are an invasive species... But there is hyacinth growing around but no water lettuce. I don't understand why people outlaw them for people who keep them outta streams, etc. I always compost "pond" plants to assure that they won't escape, and if someone takes them, I tell them not to release them! I don't "need" any of those plants but I can't help but to want more of my favorite plants! Are you just "thining" out your pond? cuz I guess I need to do that to the Fabiola, Comanche, and Attarction waterlilies.

Yeah, kenny I am thinning them out. I put those tomatoe spikes in the lilies and they really took off so now I am crowded. I am not complaining though :)

tlc. I would take some of the Parrot feather too if you'll have enough. We had some but it all died. Would love to have more. Below is my email address so you can contact me there for my snail mail address. Thanks :D

I thought I better post that I don't have anymore plants to give away. I have some Parrot Feather that I am saving for neverenufanimals and that is it for this year :)
