Hello all!
Thought I'd toss this out and try and stir up some convo.

What are your top 3 fav JLA characters(Toon and/or Comic).. AND WHY?
"Because they kick ass" doesn't not count ;P
Then.. what are your 3 least fav( hated) characters.. and why?
And no *because they are a wimp or "evil"* doesn't count.

Here's mine to start:

#1 all time fave! Martian Manhunter.. AKA J'onn J'onzz
This guy fascinates me no end! First ..he is Completely alien. Not Human, not "metahuman", not mutant. He is inarguably the most powerful member of the JL. He is a complete telepath, something that has ALWAYS intrigued me. Which makes him twice as .."dangerous". But that's Not why I like him. It's the fact that he keeps such tight control on his powers is phenominal in itself. I liken him to a sleeping lion.. quiet, unassuming.. hidden power cloaked in a very meek and gentle personality.
He has such a rich (and complex) history and unique take on life. He is honest (at least in the toon) almost to a fault.
And yes.. I love his natural form... deceptively fragile looking. Very unique.
And in the toon.. it's the voice. So fitting! I've also noticed in the toon he has a rather unique relationship and insight to each of the orginal JL memebers. I may go into this more later.. if this thread catches on.

#2..BatMan. Because he is the ONLY "hero" with NO powers at all.. he relies on his own intellegence and experience. 100% Human with all the angst and flaws that come with being just that. Also.. he plays by his own rules.. which has many times saved the Leagues collective ares. And I just LOVE his deadpan, dry humor!

#3..Flash! Mainly because he remiands me of another young rambunctious character..(Hot Rod/ Rodimus from G1 Transformers). He is all that is innocent and carefree. Nothing gets him down with a wit that moves as fast as his feet. He's just one of the genuinely FUN characters.


OK.. well I think I will save the Least faves for the next post. But I think you all will get the idea

Hm, interesting.

Here's mine:

1.) Green Lanern. Why? Simple, of all the league's powers, his are among the most variable in terms of use. They can be used to form drills, mechs, pipes, weapons, air boubles and other things, also, the energy produced by the ring he wears is imune to all but the most powerful of weapons.

2.) Batman. Well, not really much I can say that you already haven't said, so i'll just add that I like him 'cause he's intimidating to his enemies, and he knows how to use the element of surprise.

3.) Shyeira (sp). Well, for her, she's basically a character who had to make a tough discission then live with it, and after the whole invasion thing, she had to work to redeem herself to the others.

That's all i can put for now.
