Good news for "Simpsons" fans such as me "The Simpsons" movie is expected to debut in North America in August (I believe, unless the date is wrong). You can discuss the movie or show, anything related to the topic is fine by me. I was a Simpsons viewer when I was growing up, but was originally on 8:30pm Sundays and 8pm on Thursdays, not too late for a pre-teen boy.

From the first 30-second shorts on the "Tracie Ullman show" in 1987 to become a half-hour animated series since 1989 to include over 400 eps. to date, "the Simpsons" is perhaps the greatest cartoon show in history in popularity and fanfare. Created by Matt Groening, a depressed and cynical, but parody creator of several comic strips "Life is Hell" and other toon shows "Futurama", the "Simpsons" reveals what people can feel negative, but looks at life as "the way it is" .

We laugh with the jokes and situations as "the Simpsons" family: Homer (the dimwitted working man), Marge (the nagging matriarchal wife), Bart (the 10-year old spoiled brat), Lisa (the 8-yer old mellow genius) and Maggie (the baby) and the town's characters in "Springfield, USA" does outrageous things. Anyone else loves the show...or gonna see the movie when it comes out?

Well, i'm a big fan of the series, have been for years, though i've missed quite a lot of the more recent episodes.

My favourate types of episodes are the Halloween ones and 'compilation' ones, though i am getting slightly off topic here.

I might go see the movie when it comes out, or i might wait to get the DVD, i don't know yet.

But you'd think after 18 years, Maggie would have learned more than one word.

Thanks GofA...there already was a section for the "simpsons"? I see...I brought back the topic without thinking of it.

I watched the Simpsons become a very big cartoon the whole world recognizes, probably in the same level as Mickey Mouse or Scooby Doo. Recently in part of the movie promotion in England, a recent earth drawing of Homer in his underwear with a donut near an ancient earth drawing site.

I seen the movie last week and has a great sense of humor. I really liked the ending when Homer rides his motorcycle on the glass dome built to protect Springfield from it's own pollution. Oh wait...did I just spoiled a good part of the movie? my bad. I give it two thumbs up and 3 stars, but some of the jokes went flat...and the Simpsons movie is too big for a 30-minute episode.

I watched it, but in French, so I didn't understand most of it.
I admit I saw it not at theaters but now I see it wasn't worth it since I heard it's supposed to be funny, and well since I didn't understand it much I didn't really enjoy it.
