As many of you have probably figured out by now, from my neglect, I have moved on from Fall of Mars. I put this message out today, not as an end of things to come forever, but for the foreseeable future. In hopes to release the ones, I've made wait so long, to better things. It was fun while it lasted.

Damn dude, that blows. Thanks for the release, it's a great piece of fanmade history inspired by 2 great franchises.
I'm curious....will your code become public or maybe available to devs? |

From what I remember early on, initmain() you wanted to dev solo on the project. And you got lots of feedback from around the world offering help.
Considering how polished your software is, well it seems like a waste, to halt the project. I'll be blunt with my emotions/request. Please let people pickup where you have left off. I mean this in the nicest way I can express and apologize. It's demanding. |

Should you want the game continued, I've been using Game Maker for almost 4 years now, and I've been following your progress on the game since I first read your topic on the gmc about it.
I'd gladly add to the game, and write a story for it if you'd let me have the source. And even one up from that, I'm sure the whole community would gladly help out with it, if you were to release it as open source. Unless you're planning on going back to it later, which would also make all of us happy. Whatever happens, good luck to you in the future! |
