The trend with this game is to either think it's the greatest game ever made or to think it's incredibly stupid and overrated.
What's your stance on this?
Personally, I love the original game. The complex storyline was not only unusual for a game but deep and rich with allusions to Freudian psychological theory. Advent Children was pretty good, though there were some incredibly tacky aspects about it, like when they fight Bahamut Sin and they all throw Cloud in the air (no pun intended) and make some retarded comment. I also liked Dirge of Cerberus quite a lot, but Crisis Core didn't quite live up to my expectations. It got a bit repetitive. It also bugged me that they didn't elaborate on the scenes from FFVII more. The Nibelheim scenario seemed to happen in a blink.

I quite love FFVIII. Had a great battle system, significantly improved graphics, very original visual concepts, and a respectable and interesting storyline.

I don't love it or hate it, I like it. I think it's an okay game and it was fun to play through. I'll agree that it's overrated by a lot of people as the best FF ever and has way too many fanboys, but there's also a lot of people who internet rage over it and hate it largely due to the fanboyism, and not so much the game itself which is in my opinion pretty retarded, as you are letting others ruin the game for you. Also it's trendy as shit to hate what's popular so you can be like, totally non-conformist, man. It's not my favorite or least favorite FF, but either way is a good story in my opinion and was a fun game. Wouldn't play through it again but had fun the first time. Oh yeah, and this is a great thread to post my favorite FFVII-related pic that stirs the shit with fanboys on occasion. ( Posted Image) As far as FFVIII goes I personally didn't enjoy it too much because I disliked the Draw and Junction system and the story from the end of Disc 3 onward. : /

I personally love the FFVII Storyline and the feedback given by all the games binding and clearing a couple of views and mysteries... Although, yeah Crisis Core was a form of dissapointment as I wished for a WHOLE world to run around in instead of invisible lines unabled to follow... *Really shitty* Even so the battle system, I CAN BE INVISNCIBLE cause I can roll from ANY freaking attack, that's how bad ass I am, sure I get hit every 100 try, so what? I can play through the ending without dying :P
Sort of like that... The roll/dodge button should've been there just to INCREASE the chance of dodge, not promise you to make it! T___T The random factor was really cut off there.

Final Fantasy VII was my first taste of the final fantasy games, so I gotta say it hooked me pretty well. I loved the storyline, characters, everything was pretty awesome.
But I have to admit that it suffers because of all the squeeing and attention it gets. I still love it though, and I guess maybe it gets so much attention because many fans deem it as one of their favorite games. I think maybe they've had too many games, though...
Oh, and I love Final Fantasy VIII! I thought it was really great despite the time compression seeming like a half assed bit put in the end XD

Ah now there there guys, I think I can answer wether or not he wouldn't call himself a FFVII Fanboy. It's like being a Punk, you don't have to freaking call yourself a punk or whatever you are, just freaking tell people that you're a INDIVIDUAL! doh :P xD So his style is FFVII Fanboy but claims himself as a individual...
;) Didn't you just see that?
*See what?*
Man! T___T xD Be careful, I once Ginned right, well this guy can do a FFVII Cheat! xD
