Daily deals. Only one game a day though. Will be haemorhaging my money if they stay this cheap. Its Operation Flashpoint today, £3.75 |

I was wondering when something like this might come along. With all the devs that seem to be clamouring to have their special weeks (EA and Rockstar quite recently) in order to skyrocket sales, it only seemed logical to just queue them up all year round.

Logical next step really. As for Dragon Rising, it's an alright realistic shooter, more easier to get into than Arma 2, but not as clever with it's AI.
I still need to actually play it really but no one else bought it way back then. |

I'm looking for folks to play it co-op with, if you'd be up for it.

Is there any way we could have this topic pinned? We tend to do this quite often when there's a really good sale on (summer's coming, people! And who knows, maybe a Half-Life ARG?).
Just a thought, is all. :) And yes. Steam, you are eating up my money along with www.thinkgeek.com and my romance novel site. Stop it. Please. *whimper* |

Majesty 2 today, it's apparantly decent, but the multiplayer is broken and it can be a little boring. So I'm skipping it.

Last I saw, the impression I got from it was "what if you were the one in charge of a MMO town?" making quests and selling potions.
I would say pin this topic too given how much it'll update I bet. Also midweek madness. Two games this week: Worms Reloaded and Singularity. |

Meh-Singularity's Ok. At £6 I've seen worse. Worth a punt if you've bugger all else to play certainly.

Looks pretty similar to the Euro Truck Simulator title which I thought was alright, then I remembered it's the same company: SCS Software.
The 18 Wheel series is pretty lengthy in the amount of titles, and are surprisingly polished. They also did the Bus Driver game which again, was alright at the time. I may look into it as I like these kind of niche sim titles. Wish Steam can get TML Studio's World of Subways games tho. |

Today's deal, Metal Drift for just under £3. Looks like someone took Vigilante 8, added a dash of F-Zero, and then put it in the aesthetic of Monday Night Combat.

Cities XL is on sale for £5 for the next 5 hours. Is it a bit like SimCity, or just more of a world-building tool than a game?

Its more simcity, a bit more control on your roads and such, but they did a stupid mmo element to their game that eventually caved in and the original developer went into administration. The game was bought up by the publisher and modified to become Cities XL 2011 which is the better option, adding more buildings, a new bus and underground rail function and retuned the game so it's singleplayer.
Looks like the one on sale is the original Cities XL version so I would say avoid it. Although tbh I'd just say buy SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition on steam, it's arguably a better game and a crap ton of mods to improve and add to the base game. |

Watch out, just a moment ago I was redirected to a World of Warcraft log in whilst trying to pay via paypal. Not being an idiot I closed the page and attempted to pay again... only to find Steam will no longer allow me because of an "error". So uh, be careful.

Trackmania can best be described as this generation's Micro Machines. Entices the casual player with it's visual style and madcap track design, and has more than enough for people (like myself) wanting to find a slightly more competitive edge to it. Highly reccomended.

It's the Super Meat Boy of racing. Bump: Chance gone, Ubi's deal is now 75% off Far Cry games, (£1.25 for #1, £2.50 for #2). Daily Deal has moved on to Evil Genius for £3.50. |

I'd jump at that if I didn't allready have them both.
I must have played the first one about 5 times through, and it was the game that introduced me to PC FPS. Great game. I did the second one twice - once on insane mode. I loved the insane mode for being hard in a good way, unlike games that just crank up the damage and AI senses to superhuman level. I remember getting a mission, going to the location, scouting, going to the gun store, grabbing appropriate gear, sneaking in at the dead of night and placing remote control IEDs as distractions so I could get the hostage I was after out. The non-regenerating health bar system was refreshing, and it was nice to have "buddies" to fight alongside. Bad side to Far Cry 2? traveling. Seriously good game, and worth it for £2.50. If you haven't played these games I recomend you pick them up. |

My interest in Farcry was sunk when I found out the game wasn't about one man's quest to get back a fridge full of orange soda from some jerkass Nazis.

That's actually the over-arcing sub plot to Kenan and Kel. |
