Bastard Understudy

Nice to see even the most heinous of evils can have a laugh at the office every now and then. That is pretty much their office there, isn't it? Kinda?

Love the deadpan looks Morth and his understudy give to one another before they burst a gut laughing.

This really makes you rethink the old "no man is a failure who has friends" thing. Damn you Clarance.

With that remark, you'd think Janus would have gotten front of the line privileges for sacrificial duties on Morth's alter. :)

All signs point to betrayal being somewhat expected in Morth's group.

Art style has really improved since last time we saw Morth, the facial expressions in this issue are great. Also, diggin the pinstripe suit.

Thing is, locking it away would've been the right thing if they'd developed a way to safely release the souls in the meantime. I guess they had better things to do.

If. IF they had found a way to safely release those souls to end their pain without destroying them. Even with all the mind-boggling technological advances there's no guarantee that they had found such a way.

I take it that a prerequisite to becoming a member of Morth's insane Patterner Cult is to have a potent case of CBD: Chronic Back-stabbing Disorder? Sounds like fun. :P

Morth opens up his closet of evil, once again, after the attire has been collecting up the ol' hiatus.

I wonder what he wears for the Cultist Picnics in the summer? :)

I will thank you to never mention Morth's Hiatus in public again. You're disgusting. :)

Tee shirt and khaki shorts, I imagine.

I mean, have you tried getting grass stains out of floor-length vestments? And do you know how hot those get in the sun?

Morth's fashion style is a hybrid of the two worst wardrobe malfunctions: Hot & Sweaty on the inside, Stained-Grass on the outside.

I hope Morth never plots to become dark overlord of the fashion industry. :o

Try wearing the uniform of an American Civil War soldier -- heavy wool in July in the Midwest while humping a 9-lb. rifle-musket and ~20 lbs. of other kit.

"Many Shubbs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day, I could tell you."
