Aww, poor Mr. Bugman. Now his baby girl will grow up without a daddy, and she will blame Eastwood and company for getting her Daddy killed. She will one day swear revenge and become the next dark high preistess of the Patterner Cult and seek to destroy the Inquisition, ripping it from its very foundation in her unholy war, and personally taking it upon herself to hunt down and destroy our beloved EN cast members' families and descendants...

Wait...wait...wait...my bad. Eastwood will never find a female that will lay with him without being sedated, so he will never have descendants. Her revenge will be moot after Eastwood dies in an "Friendly Fire" incident with Lothar over spilling some coffee. :P

Why did he go black and white?

Even though I graduated 2-3 years ago.

To enable us to cheat around the "Morth's followers are black and white" rule. We wanted 'Janus' to appear early on, but not give the villain away before the surprise reveal. If he'd been a black and white animal, you lot would have guessed easily. So he became a chameleon. Shifting colour now is more for the reader's benefit, I s'pose. Janus is revealing his other face.

His thugs are a bit of a cheat too. Black gorilla and white rhino. As a pair, they qualify, but what if one gets KIA? Would the other be fired, or would he have to find a new colour-contrasted partner? Dunno.

I've got a feeling that Morth is going to attempt the whole eldritch abomination fusion again. If not then it will probably involve taking over the world minus fusion.

Well if the Rhino dies the Gorilla could just wait till he got his silverback.

Oh, is that why he changed? I thought he was making a half-baked attempt to blend with his surroundings, as if he's preparing for a getaway after gaining the stone. And I was all like "Janus, bro, you ain't fooling anyone, you silly chameleon..."

Love how the style's so dramatically perfect in Panel 6. Makes me actually feel bad.. and believe he's not just lying about his 9-Month-Old Daughter and *Insert Rest Of Sob Story Here*...

Gotta love how the Chameleon Guy just changes his skin pigment from a vivid sneaky green to a pale, humourless "You're all screwed" grey color. The expression change is a nice match.

He thought Rogue might want to talk to him in the lift -- you figure it out.

I suspect Morth's lackey was operating on the assumption "the Inquisitors are already dead, so *after they die*, no one else gets hurt".

My prediction for next comic. Virus: "Damnit, where's Lothar?" Panel cuts to Lothar getting sloshed.

I'm calling it now; Morth is going to turn into the Giant Spaghetti Monster if/when he absorbs the artifact.

It is pretty normal over here, at least from what I've seen from streakers. I don't know, I think it's something in the air. Probably the smog.

Well, if the gorilla was ina white suit you could off one or the other without it being a problem. Of course, there would be "black and white cultists in black and white suits" jokes, but that's nothing gratuitous firepower won't solve.

Betting for 406: Janus hands the artifact to one of the guards, who immediately shoot him. Going over budget has consequences, after all (plus they're working for a guy called 'the Betrayer'. Backstabbing is more or less demanded).

I considered that, actually. But thought it would give the badger away.

Very last minute prediction there, dude. New one's up. Doubtless there are risks working for a piece of work like Morth, but Janus has avoided repercussions, for one more week at least.
