Lothar Hex - April 25, 2011 10:09 AM (GMT)
Crowley - April 25, 2011 10:29 AM (GMT)
Oh gosh, this ain't gonna be good. I sure hope Lothar and Rogue can overcome the odds on this one, and learn something important about the magic of friendship complete the mission with minimal casulties.
Also, comgrats on your Xboxth comic!

That speech-bubble join and the poses in the fifth panel give this a perfect fighting-game feel.
"The fight card is filled in. Which of these warriors will prove their strength to the world?"

Well today's comic showed me some things. Really. Schaeffer is a just superior and had the consideration to come to terms with Lothar's proposal. Under any other circumstance this would ended with piles of corpses.
Except that this is Exterminatus Now. Making Rogue Lothar's superior with the go-ahead for Veto if necessary, thus setting up inevitable recklessness and sheer mindless brutality to follow, led me to one last thought:
The reality that Justice is overrated.
Noir The Sable - April 25, 2011 02:30 PM (GMT)
And now the questions on everyone's mind: How long would it have taken Wildfire to fuck everything up if she were still on the team, and how would she have done it?
Lothar Hex - April 25, 2011 02:32 PM (GMT)
Schaefer would probably have a beam sabre lodged in his throat. From last Thursday. When Wildfire was 2 miles away. Asleep.
zarak - April 25, 2011 03:13 PM (GMT)
He's a really crafty bear when he wants to be.
SaturnGrl - April 25, 2011 03:30 PM (GMT)
After everything that happened back in Taika, this should be a most entertaining adventure for both Lothar and Rogue. I look forward to the Chaos that will ensue.
Sabre_Justice - April 25, 2011 03:54 PM (GMT)
Really, Simmons, you're acting as if he doesn't want to almost certainly make sure Lothar either gets killed or gets officially killable.
Blur45712 - April 25, 2011 04:51 PM (GMT)
Rogue vs Lothar. Who would I put my money on? I'd say Rogue due to him slicing off Lothar's limbs during the Fernex arc. Plus I think he's just looking for an excuse to kick his ass again.

Is there anything from EN you CAN'T take and make even more awesome?
Sabre_Justice - April 25, 2011 05:36 PM (GMT)
Eh, depends. That wasn't really Lothar in that arc, just a Fernex demon hijacking his limbs. The echnidna himself is a rather skilled murder machine and very well armed. I'd say it's an even match.

Besides, Rogue totally gets a plus one against demons.

Unfortunately, going through my Edits folder shows that they don't all turn out awesome. Some are just plain creepy, and in context, invade your mind while asleep.
Crowley - April 25, 2011 06:23 PM (GMT)
Pix, dude, that's just plain creepy. Everyone has nightmares about that bear.
Eastwood - April 25, 2011 06:29 PM (GMT)
I was wondering when you were going to post that.

Eastwood - April 25, 2011 07:28 PM (GMT)
Well, when I tire of Human Eastwood, I'll have to go for that.
Feldoon - April 25, 2011 07:31 PM (GMT)
Don't forget the one where he
stalks this one chick.

I don't -- I have nightmares featuring a naked Matthew Broderick being stuffed feet-first into an oversized sausage-casing and fed to a crowd of hungry cannibals.
There are not words in the English language to express just how much I wish I was making this up.
ObComic: I know how Simmons feels being The Guy Who No One Can Every Tell If He's Being Sarcastic Or Not.
ObCommentary: Unfortunately, it appears ever "zombie Jesus" URL on Earth has been snarfed up by (wait for it) zombie-esque followers of Jesus....
Awolle - April 25, 2011 11:25 PM (GMT)
Bunnies, another ‘Pagan Tradition’ that once was, purely.
…
Ahhhh, Lothar and Rogue, a Match Made - in Hell. Looking forward to this.
Oddly_1aundulxaldin - April 26, 2011 01:59 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, and Happy Easters all around.

Yeah -- I was thinking much the same thing.
I'm currently working it up as a scenario for _Call of Cthulhu_, if for no other reason than to spread the pain as widely as possible.

You get those too, huh?
Except in my case I'm the one stuffing him in, laughing like a madman.
Hodgelett - April 28, 2011 10:58 AM (GMT)
Another way of looking at it: If you ever need a voice actor, Willem Defoe is hire-able.
Morth maybe?

"Stuffing him in"? That sounds sexual. Not sexy. Matthew Broderick can go to Hell.
