speciesAt Expelled from Reality, you play three main species: wolves, dragons and giant Eagles. Dragons and giant Eagles may only be obtained through adoptions, but wolves can always be created. There are also oddities, loner creatures which are more often than not predators, and Sub-main species, which are animals which live in groups.
landThe setting is Lybrachien, a land that is everywhere and no-where. It is separated from the world around it by a mysterious 'mist'. This mist is harmless to every species except humans; humans cannot pass through it, and so Lybrachien is void of direct human contact. Characters can reach Lybrachien from all over the world, for there is no direct continent which it is connected to, and nor could it be placed on a map. It may be likened to the Bermuda Triangle, though is not nearly so sinister, for you are more likely to come across it by accident than deliberately.
timeIt is assumed that Lybrachien is setting in the present, but since it is not heavily influenced by the outside world, there is no harm in playing with timelines. Lybrachien follows no logical rules, and just as a character from Africa can reach it with as much ease as a character from Canada, so time periods do not have to match.
magicAs you may have been able to tell by now, EfR is not a realistic game. Though there is nothing to stop realistic animals from being played, members have the option of taking advantage of our fantasy setting. Wings, powers, strange colourings, unique species - here, you can use your imagination. Our only requirement is that every extraordinary character have a reason behind its supernatural existance, but since we are fantasy, you can pretty much go wild with your reasons.
storyUnlike some sites, who let members make and play their own plots, or create plots to enhance activity, Lybrachien has an ongoing story which may or may not affect your characters at any one time. You can read it so far by looking in the History forum. We also encourage the suggestion of plots, and some aspects of the story may be influenced by your character. For example, a wolf called Swerve joined who had a goddess. Through discussion with her owner, this goddess [and Swerve by consequence] became a major part in the story. If Swerve had not joined EfR, this would never have happened.
expectationsWe consider ourself literate, although since our minimum post size is a paragraph, it may be more sensible to class us as intermediate to literate. Don't be fooled; you must be able to type, spell and laugh to fit in here.
