RULES FOR MEMBERSHIP
Greetings and welcome to Evergen Weyr! We consider ourselves an intermediate level Dragonriders of Pern® role-play and as such we expect our members to adhere to these standards. The following rules are ones we expect to be followed. If anyone is caught disregarding them, the results could be suspension, revoKing of characters, or even complete banishment from this website. These punishments are at the sole discretion of the Administration Team and we sincerely hope that nothing comes to such circumstances. That said, please be sure to read the ENTIRETY of the rules, this is only part 1 of four, there will be a short "contract" of sorts to "sign" when you post a new character if you are a new member. Before Getting Started, You Should Know:- Evergen's dragons follow the meters measurement. Do not debate with us about this.
- Time is sped up three times, meaning 1 real lIfe month is akin to three role-play months. One month also equals one season and 1 year equals four years in the role-play.
- Rider Ranks are as follows: Weyrwoman/Weyrleader > Weyrseconds (2nd-in-command bronze and queen) > Junior Weyrwomen/Wingleaders > Wingseconds > Wingriders > Weyrlings
- Wherhandler Ranks are as follows: Wherwoman/Wherleader (equal in rank to Wingleaders) > WherSeconds (equal in rank to wingseconds) > Wherhandlers (equal in rank to wingriders) > Wherlings (equal in rank to weyrlings)
- You will need to "sign" a special agreement contract, eventually, when you make a new character. Be sure to read the agreement!
THE ROLE-PLAY & OUT OF CHARACTER RULES:- Do not disrupt the peace. Be this in the forum itself or the cbox, if you are found causing a ruckus, there will be consequences.
- Be courteous to your fellow members. Don't be rude, vulgar, sexually explicit or swear if others find it distasteful and ask it to stop.
- Do not have multiple accounts. Seriously. Don't.
- Do not steal. Be it characters, plots, art, ideas, whatever. We will ban you for this if it is bad enough.
- Write properly while role-playing. Keep chatspeak, emoticons, LOLspeak, etc. to out of character discussions.
- Do not God-Mode. Keep your mitts off anothEr member's character. You only have the authority to decide the actions of your own creations.
- Get Admin permission for major plots. If it involves killing someone or the hatching of eggs (of any variety) you must get Admin approval. Most everything else is fine. Any questions, ask the staff.
- Do not "gold-dig." We use this term loosely to encompass those who see fit to beg, ask, etc. to be given a certain color dragon, not just a queen. If you do this anywhere on the site you won't Impress. Simple as that. More on this in CHARACTER CREATION & MANAGEMENT.
- Debate wisely. Do not start an argument just for argument's sake. If you want to debate be civilized. Do your Research and do not fight over opinions. Debates akin to idiots playing happy-slaps with eachother will be deleted.
That done, it is now time for you to move on to our three other sections:
