This is an original concept roleplay - the world and its inhabitants created solely by moi, ze Ghost (gasp!), and I'm really stoked to have the opportunity to share it with many other people. That being said, there are just a few ground rules that I would appreciate people standing by. Respeck First and foremost - there is nothing worse than having a fun and friendly environment ruined by people who just cannot respect one another or the admin and their decisions. Please please PLEASE do not bring drama llamas to the board - I dislike them and they don't even taste good with barbecue sauce. This goes for everyone. If you have a personal problem with someone please either ignore them or talk about it off the forum. I will not tolerate any kind of slander against another player OR another roleplay board here. And trust me, I'm usually the first one to mess about and make fun like the next joker, but this is one thing I am quite adamant about. I love meeting new people and roleplaying fun and interesting characters with others. Bringing drama where it doesn't belong just ruins the fun for everyone. I'm all for personal freedom of speech, jokes and general tomfoolery, but no serious bitching on the board. I'd like to keep the 'fun and friendly' atmosphere. PLEASE don't turn me into a Nazi, it'll make me cry. <3 Maturity This is a PG13 to mature RP - meaning that if you are offended by any violence, coarse language and sexual references, then this probably isn't the place for you unless you're willing to ignore that stuff. At the same time, anything that people may find offensive should at least be labelled with a warning - and anything really extreme or involving extra-curricular activities in the bedroom belong in the delightfully passworded Mature Forum (ask admin for password). Naturally there may be a couple of underage people joined to the site - please do not try to lie about your age. Any underage persons caught trying to pull one over me will be instantly banned. I won't be held responsible for under-agers reading smut on my board kthnx. <3 Language is rather open here, I don't have a problem with swearing, but please don't over do it. No one wants to read 'fuck' as every second word in someone's post. Please save some creative room for the rest of your post. Joining the Party All excited about becoming 'one of us'? Awesome! All you have to do is make sure you sign up with your character's name. For humans and witches (and generally anyone who has a family name or surname) I would prefer if you sign with their first and last names please. It makes it easier on everyone else in case anyone has similar given names. Please make sure you've read all the nifty information that I laboured over and drained my brain for HOURS for. I didn't do it because I enjoy feeling like a zombie the next day. First of all, if you want to pick up a canon (for which I will lurve you) then please make them asap, since its a first come first served system. Once you've decided on your character then simply sign up and fill out an application form and leave it in the pending applications area to be looked over. Don't be shy on descriptions - a good two to three paragraphs per description as well as a decent history and impressive RP Sample will stand out. This is an intermediate to advanced roleplay, so grammar and spelling should at least be on par as well. Then please wait until your application is accepted before posting anywhere IC. Running Smoothly I would like to hope that the forum will be inspiring enough to be able to keep some decent activity going. That being said, anyone picking up a canon character will be required to at least post once or twice a week for each canon. Any absenses for long periods of time without any warning or LOA posted in OOC can result in someone losing that canon (I hate to do it, but it is unfair to hold onto something if you're not using it, yes?). Also, there will be a starting cap of maximum 4 characters per player - with permission for any extra characters granted only when the player asks myself and has proven that they're able to keep up with the ones they already have. Please don't make more than you can handle - its more a common courtesy thing than anything else. Pretty logical too. Activity checks will be fairly regular, with about a two week or so period in which to respond to them - if you miss them then your account will be deleted unless you've posted a LOA message for us prior. You can feel free to remake it and join again, but I will be watching activity. Pretties Avatar must be 200x200px please or my OCD will run rampant ON YOU ALL! coughs Please no cartoons or pictures that aren't a face claim in the avatar (in the sig is fine though). Having a face claim is optional but preferable. I would like if signatures can be no larger than 500px wide by 300px high. I love pretties as much as the next person, but we're here for the writing... mostly. No offensive or pornographic images either plzkthnx. And real people for pbs. <3 In Character Posting length around about at least 2-3 decent paragraphs ('decent' being around 4-6 sentences) would be lovely. Single sentence character posts will not be received well at all (except maybe as a joke) - so put some effort in. Other players will appreciate it and you'll find yourself with more plots. Please post in third person - it makes things much less confusing for everyone else. Also please refrain from using future tense unless you are explaining what your character will do in reaction to something the other character may or may not do. Mixing tenses doesn't flow very well in written word and confuses some people. If you've been paying attention to the rules: I found one of Lil's flying monkeys. That being said, please also try to use decent punctuation and grammar - I'm assuming we all learned it in school. Remember - spellcheck is your friend. So is the enter key, wall-o-text makes me and many other people go @_@ . When starting a thread, please mark it for whoever its meant for - ie. If its an open thread, please tag that its an open thread. If its for someone in particular, then tag that character, and if its invite only then make sure to put that in the tag as well. Basically, if you don't want people crashing threads then make it easier for the rest of us. ;D Multiple threads are acceptable as long as they are clearly defined as being at different times, etc. This can be done with an ever-handy thread tracker (I personally recommend everyone make one). No God-moding - I think this is a pretty much standard knowledge really. Anyone caught doing such to another's character will be promptly smacked on the back of the hand. Its just not cool (unless you have the other player's permission of course). NPCs are always handy little props. Feel free to come up with your own for your characters, just remember the no god-moding rule applies to them as well. You cannot move or disrupt another person's NPC unless they've given you permission to do so. Finally Last but not least... HAVE FUN! This is a roleplay board - a place to enjoy yourselves in creativity and art through literature! MAKE FRIENDS! There are people around who're always happy to get to know you OOC as well as roleplay IC. I recommend getting to know each other through cbox or even IM. DON'T STRESS ME OUT! Okay, just kidding. XD ... but seriously, I have minions here who I will send out with fiery hellwrath if people don't do the right thing - which is really just chillaxing and enjoying something I put a lot of hard work into.
