I just heard a new theory about how the book MIGHT end. Eragon and Saphira could fix the star sapphire but turn it magical and that would give him some sort of power to beat Galbatorix.
The other theory is that he would open the vault of souls. Remember from the first book: Listen closely and I will tell you two things. When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa tree. Then, when all seems lost and your power is insufficient, go to the rock of Kuthian and speak your name to open the Vault of Souls. - Solembum (pg. 206) so that's another possibility. I didn't make these up I got them from my friend and he got it from a website. these are possibilities. but i'm not sure they are gonna happen  -------------------- *sighs* the world needs more tomboys like me...MUHAHAHA!!!

I like the one about the Star Sapphire! That could actually happen.
If Eragon did open the vault of souls though, it might make him a Shade. Now that would be cool! Unlikely things that might happen: 1) Eragon will find gunpowder. Oh wait, he's not that smart! 2) Galbatorix is really a woman. (Now that would be awkward!) 3) Eragon will turn out to be gay, (no offence to anyone who is, as i know someone who is) and he will marry Murtagh or even better, Galbatorix instead of Arya. 4) Arya will get so angry that she will kill Eragon, ending the whole trilogy! --------------------  |

hmm... and by the way... if eragon becomes a shade then he will work for galbatorix. THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! and then saphira would get angry
