Hogwarts is destroyed. Beauxbatons is in ruins. Durmstrang survives - barely.

But the Ministry has more important matters - like cracking down on Dark Arts, and struggling to contain the seeds of rebellion. They don't know - or don't care - about the rumors of a dark new power arising at Durmstrang...

Whose side will you choose? Who will you trust? Who will you betray?

no new Dungeons
Poorly lit, perpetually cold, and smelling of mold and rot, these dungeons and corridors house several classrooms and the kitchens. Several areas are rumored to have been used as holding cells for troublesome students, but no one's used them for centuries...we think.

no new Ground Floor
The front doors of the school open into a wide atrium, lined with ornate stained glass windows, ancient suits of armor, and paintings of famous alumni and patrons. Directly opposite the door, on the far side of the lobby, a wide marble staircase leads to the first landing, with smaller stairways rising from it at that point to take visitors into other parts of the school. Doors also lead to classrooms and the school's Feasting Hall.

no new First Floor
The first floor, at the top of the main marble staircase, houses several classrooms. The caretaker's office is also located here. During the day, the halls are filled with students going to and from class, though it's rare to see anyone here when classes are over for the evening.

no new Second Floor
The right-hand staircase leads up from the first floor to the second. Here, students will find several more classrooms, some in use, some abandoned, as well as the Hospital Chambers where ill or injured students may rest and recuperate.

no new Third Floor
The left-hand staircase soars two floors to arrive at the third floor. Many students and staff spend long hours in the library, while others, troubled by broken hearts and rivalries, visit the school counselor in his office. Doors open into other classrooms as well.

no new 1st Floor
The majority of the professors live within the confines of the school. Their rooms are unique, no two shaped or decorated the same, and contain both living space and an office separated by a lockable door. They can be found on various floors of the school.

Professors Potter, Rice, Smythe, Strange and D'Sigismund live in rooms off the first floor.

Behind the offshoot of the great marble staircase lies a short corridor with some professor quarters. Others live elsewhere on the floor.

On the second floor, you can find Librarian Breen and Professors Connor, Lucifer, and Redgrave.

no new 4th Floor
The fourth floor residents are blessed with the brighter light that comes from being above the height of many of the trees that surround the school, not that there's much light in deepest Norwegian winter in any case.

Professors Green and Maleyen live here, as does the Counselor, Petrus Jarvilehto.

Other accommodations are of course available in Mørke.

The eerily black, placid lake that is just beyond the school. Come for a relaxing visit, an outing with friends, or a rejuvenating swim after a hard day's work. Just don't dive too deep - mysterious creatures live under the waves.

Magic doesn't come without hazards. While the school does its best to teach its students in relative safety, these are dangerous times, and sometimes people die. At the very edge of the Durmstrang grounds lies a small, tree-lined graveyard, where their bodies rest. The graveyard is warded by spells preventing Necromancy and grave desecration.
