So now that I have free time once more, I'm starting up Stuffed Head again. Expect new content in the next few days. In the meantime, a question for any and all: what books or book series do you want Stuffed Head to analyze, explore, and otherwise rip apart? I've had a few requests for Harry Potter. Anything else?

I suggest, in honor of their return from whatever musical cesspool they crawled into, you rip blink - 182 a new asshole in your music section.

It'd be interesting to see The Host. We have to be completely sure that Meyers is a bad writer.

The Legend of Drizzt: Homeland by R.A. Salvatore
The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub
Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub
The Gunslinger by Stephen King

Any from the list would be great smile_nose1.png. The first two are straight fantasy, the second two a little less so. There are still some elements, but they're downplayed or not present early on.

What was that Twilight rip-off you were snarking chapter by chapter? Can you have more of that?

Nice list of books so far; keep them coming!

Christ, they're still around? I'll put them on my queue for when I start up the Catch-all section (movies, music, TV shows, etc.) on the site.

Evermore. Yeah, I'll finish that up bit by bit.

How about:

Moby-Dick by Herman Melville

and

The Lost Years of Merlin by TA Barron

Also, maybe more of the classics like The Iliad and Odyssey.

Yup. And I read an interview with them, and they're still as petty and obnoxious as they probably were in Middle School.

And which the books already mentioned are the first in the queue?

I'm interested to know more about 'The Host', by Stephenie Meyer. Is it sci-fi or something like it?

I just got interested in the word 'host'... since I've been reading a lot of stuff about parasites and diseases, biological warfare and enjoying for the second time 'The Andromeda Strain', by Michael Crichton.

Definitely The Host, although it'll take a few weeks to get my hands on a copy. I already have the Abhorsen trilogy and a few of The Lost Years of Merlin books, so it's just a matter of re-reading those.

Ah, I'm very interested in classics. I might do something on Billy Budd before I get into Melville's longer work, though; his prose isn't time-friendly.

I'd like to veto the HP suggestions... honestly, there's so much high-quality HP stuff out there (serious discussions, funny criticisms, just plain silliness, etc.) that to spend a lot of time making more doesn't really seem worth it.

My only pro-suggestion is anything by Michael Romkey, he has a vampire series out. Although he does manage to come up with plenty of original ideas himself, he somehow just feels like he wishes he was Anne Rice.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts about Harry Potter. It's also why I'm moving away from Inheritance and Twilight; ImpishIdea and other sites are already doing a great job dissecting those series, so there's little need to add more.

I haven't heard of Michael Romkey; I'll be sure to check him out.

When you do finish that up. Would you mind destroying the sequal, New....I mean, Blue Moon. I'm not sure if its out let, but I think she got it published already.

And I do believe there are two books after Hatchet (I've read the original and one of the ones afterward, so I have no clue about the third one). So those could be there too, if you usually read in series.

Hatchet is in a series? Did I just read that right?

I'd recommend the Mortal Engines series by Phillip Reeve or the "Species Imperative" series by Julie Czerneda, because they're fairly original and not very well-known, which means how you weigh in on them will have more importance than you reviewing the latest trash fantasy/romance novel craze.

Also, I haven't been on here forever, so Hi Everyone. I still exist!

I'll add Hatchet to the list, then. I think I may have the first book stuffed somewhere...

What about the Mortal Instruments Trilogy? Stephanie Meyer liked it, so it should be prime for ripping apart.
