How did you find AS? - Through Wikipedia
How did you choose your username? - I made it five and a half years ago for Neopets. I wanted to combine dragons with thunder 'cause Riachu was my favorite Poke'mon.
What's your avatar? - It's one of the unicorns from the Charlie video. I chose it because it's the only icon I have which wouldn't look horrible if resized down to 75x75.

How old are you? - 18
Where do you live? - Pittsburgh
Do you cry single tears? - When walking along A-Walk to get from class to class. It's cold up here on the Bluff. Makes my eyes water.

Who are your favorite authors? - Gail Carson Levine, Kenneth Oppel, Joseph Heller, Terry Pratchett, Madeleine L'Engle, Neal Shusterman
What are your favorite movies? - Anastasia
What type of music do you listen to? - Show tunes, Nightwish, Beach Boys, and Spice Girls >_>
What are your favorite colors? - Blue
What is your personal motto? - "The Temple of Kraden - We Kill Because We Care"

What is your weapon of choice? - My exorcism plank
Anything else you'd like to add? - College student studyin acting and game design. I write fan fiction and love musical theatre. I administrate at two game-related boards, and I absolutely love to read.

How did you find A-S?

Once, while discussing Arya on a sci fi and fantasy board, someone randomly popped in and said, "You're all idiots! Go to www.anti-shurtugal.com and get a bloody clue." I was curious so I did, and then I was hooked, because the website backed up and explained all the doubts I had.

How did you choose your user name?

I love Brienne from A Song of Ice and Fire, just because I can identify with her personality so much - well, and Sansa's personality in some ways too...it's the whole idealistic, naive thing...

Where do you live?

The UK.

Do you cry single tears?

Only at the sight of an Eragon poster/TV commercial/Paolini interview.

Who are your favorite authors?

*bites back ravings* George R. R. Martin (surprise, surprise), Mark Twain, Pavan K. Varma, Arundhati Roy, Malcolm Gladwell, J. R. R. Tolkien, J. K. Rowling, and Christopher Paolini.

...

That was a joke.

What are your favorite movies?

The Lord of the Rings, The English Patient, V for Vendetta, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Bridge Jones' Diary, Hitch, and The Lion King.

What type of music do you listen to?

It depends on my mood, but I listen to everything except country and heavy metal. Lately I've been obsessed with the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack and the song 'We Belong' from Talladega Nights. Yeah, they really go together.

What are your favorite colors?

Pink. I love wearing pink. Yes, I'm a pretty girly-girl sometimes.

What is your personal motto?

Don't have one.

What is your weapon of choice?

In the absence of my sword Oathkeeper, I'd say my pomeranian. He's lethal.

Anything else you'd like to add? I have a penchant for pervy jokes, so beware. But don't beware too much, because I'm actually a good girl *halo glows*

EDIT: Hiya, Dracobolt! Good to see you! And Warthorde, I spy you.

How old are you? Too old for the tooth fairy, too young to vote.
Where do you live? Western USA
Do you cry single tears? ....occasionally....

Who are your favorite authors? JRR Tolkien, Alexandre Dumas,Guy Gavriel Kay, Katherine Kurtz (she's so awesome.)
What are your favorite movies? The Prestige, LoTR, The Princess Bride

What are your favorite colors? Blue and orange.
What is your personal motto? Your best is good one time only, after that you'd better have improved.

Anything else you'd like to add? Erm.... follow the yellow brick road?

"How did you find AS"
Well, I searched in the internet for a starting date for a movie. Then I stumbelled over some pink and yellow colored site which had an anti-Eragon essay, where a link was to the Anti-Shurtugal Site. Wanted to find out more and got stuck here since then.

"How did you choose you username"
Simple, Mike's my real name. Although it created some confusion on the old boards, since there seems to be another, well known Mike on some other board.

"What's your Avatar"
It's from a game called "Conker's Bad Fur Day", one of the strangest games ever. All who know it also know who exactly my Avatar is, for all others it is rather self explanatory.

"How old are you?"
I'm becoming 21 this march.

"Where do you live"
Regensburg, near Munich (where the October Festival is), in Bavaria, Germany, Europe, Planet Earth

"Do you cry single tears"
I seldom cry.

"What are your favourite authors?"
There are many:
Stephen King (read almost anything by him)
Robert Jordan (Wheel of Time)
Sergej Lukianenko (Nightwatch, Daywatch, Twilightwatch)
Frank Schätzing (Swarm)
Tad Williams (War of Flowers, Otherland)
Lovecraft (Call of Cthulhu and stuff)
Terry Pratchet (read every single Discworld book except the latest ones)
and so on...

"Movies"
There're too many good movies out there:
The Green Mile
Spiderman
Starwars
Lost in Translation
nah forget it, there just too many

"Music"
Anything except country music and bands who don't sing/write music by themselves.

"Favourite Colors"
This is hard, since I am red green blind:
Any color will do.

"Personal Motto"
If you try hard enough you can achieve almost anything

"Weapon of Choice"
Dunno, if I'd live in some medieval/phantasy time, maybe a Longbow.
In the modern World...an army of gene manipulated Superhamtser...with Bazooka ears. Alternatively a satelite death ray grin.png

"Anything else you like to add"
Not much. Most people here may know me from the old boards. Hope you forgive my clumsy english.

How did you find AS?

From the Wikipedia article on Eragon, which I was looking up when the book was recomended to me.

How did you choose your username?

The name LennyLen comes from an incident that happened almost exactly 10 years ago. A friend of mine and I were at a party and we decided that we would take some acid and go clubbing in town. So we took it, and jumped on our bikes and headed off to town. We just go to the outskirts when the chain on my bike (which I'd cobbled together from 2 chains) snapped and got tangled in the gears. So we abandoned it in some bushes behind a building and I jogged the rest of the way in.

So, six or so hours later and we decide to go home. I decided I'd try one more time to get the chain free of the gears so I can walk it home and walked back to where we dumped the bike. I discover that my bike (which is red) is gone and that there's a blue bike there. But I'm aware that I took some acid so I decide I'm just seeing red as blue somehow, and go to get the bike.

That's when I discover that in fact it IS a blue bike. But it's still my bike. Somebody hade come along, and painted the bike blue with acrylic paint. They'd then added white and yellow dots and stripes. Above all that, the chain had been replaced with a brand new one. The only clue as to what had happened was one word painted on to the rear mudguard - LennyLen.

So I started using it online in the hope that I one day attract the attention of whoever did it, and also to remind me that the world we live in is a very crazy place.

What's your avatar?

It's from one of my favourite Calvin and Hobbes strips.

How did you find AS?

Wikipedia.

How did you choose your username?

Erm... Apollonia is the feminization of Apollo, the god of prophecy (hence the "Foresayer" I typically tack on there). Also, it was the name of my MC's name when I joined ASF. smile.png

What's your avatar?

Erm... I don't have one right now, because I can't get one from my own files. *glares* I do have a rather nice sig.

How old are you?

Too old for Stakey, not old enough for beer.

Where do you live?

Small shack in Nevada. I kid, I kid. South Carolina.

Do you cry single tears?

Only when you pinch me.

Who are your favorite authors?

Adams, Gaiman, Pratchett, Wodehouse, Vonnegut, anyone who makes me laugh.

What are your favorite movies?

Little Miss Sunshine, The Matador, The Producers (musical), again, anything that makes me laugh.

What type of music do you listen to?

Bands that make blippy noises.

What are your favorite colors?

Purple. smile.png I love this skin so much.

What is your personal motto?

Before you insult someone, walk a mile in their shoes. Then, you're a mile away, and you have their shoes.

What is your weapon of choice?

My wit, of course. Actually, my nightstick.

Anything else you'd like to add?

It was totally lenny.

How did you find AS? I was on BQ where the some Asers constantly talked about Inheritance. I was curious to see what Eragon was about. I read it and knew I had to come here
How did you choose your username? I was in a bravo company in the army of the 1st of the 102d Armor, hence bravo1102
What's your avatar? Dear, sweet, lovable, little Searsha the Claw, the main character in my WIP. <edit> Groucho Marx, my alter ego and my "real life" nickname.

How old are you? Old enough to know better and too young to care. You're never too old to rock-n-roll if you're too young to die. Otherwise I can't say, it changes every year.
Where do you live? In a house in hell. Otherwise known as New Jersey.
Do you cry single tears? Sometimes at sad movies, other times they come and come and come. I'm one of those sensitive 1980's guys.

Who are your favorite authors? Vonnegut, Bernard Cornwell, Tolstoy, John Keegan, Erik Flint, Harry Turtledove
What are your favorite movies? Kelly's Heroes, The Magic Christian, bad SF and horror movies
What type of music do you listen to? Nowadays mostly Classical. You could call me a retired head-banger.
What are your favorite colors? Red and blue
What is your personal motto? The only thing someone should take seriously is the fact that nothing is to be taken seriously. Samuel Butler, Victorian Satirist (who I share a birthday with) Armor rules!

What is your weapon of choice? An M1A1 Abrams main battle tank.
Anything else you'd like to add? Historian, graphic artist, former teacher and all around pain-in-the-ass. Otherwise one heck of a nice guy.

How did you find AS?

I'm fairly certain it was a Google search for young writers, then a kind of winding Internet road...

How did you choose your username?

Ahaha. Well. I used to be Nessa, on the other boards. But due to a slight arse-up involving the shift key and the password I intended to have, I am now fingolfin. Not that I mind. He rocked. But yes, this is Nessa.

What's your avatar?

Don't have one yet. Will be Izzard. grin.png

How old are you?

Old enough to be shamelessly elitist when it comes to my fellow Brits. grin.png You all rock, by the way.

Where do you live?

Under your bed. No, really.

Do you cry single tears?

Oh, upon many a day do I shed a single tear for the English language.

Who are your favorite authors?

Woah, WAY too many to list. If I have to choose a few, David Eddings, Frederick Forsyth and D. H. Lawrence. (heart.png Sons and Lovers)

What are your favorite movies?

Lord of the Rings, for those of you that haven't guessed. grin.png Other than that, Gladiator (SHADOWS AND DUST, MAXIMUS!) and Miss Congeniality. ^^;

What type of music do you listen to?

Most anything except Franz Ferdinand and death metal.

What are your favorite colors?

Indigo and silver

What is your personal motto?

Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard. Be evil.

What is your weapon of choice?

My sword. That's right, I live under your bed, and I have a sword. Try sleeping now. grin.png

Anything else you'd like to add?

You there! CAKE OR DEATH?

Anything else you'd like to add?

You there! CAKE OR DEATH?

Ex-cellent. Soon there will be roaming gangs of Izzard fans, terrorizing Dog-Eared with pamphlets about the difference between executive transvestites and weirdo transvestites. grin.png

I think the proper Dog-Eared answer to that should be, "Either way, how much?"

Anything else you'd like to add? It wasn't me. Really.

How did you find AS?
-It was in a box of Lucky Charms.

How did you choose your username?
- Randomly. "Jierda theirra kalfis" stood out for me, because of my apparently cavemanistic tendencies. Calfbreaker for short, to complement Hackslayer.

What's your avatar?
-Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic.

How old are you?
-Old enough to be engaged legally, young enough to still get the comment, "Aren't you a little too young?"

Where do you live?
-In an igloo up north.

Do you cry single tears?
-Sometimes, when I'm alone at night in bed with my teddy.

Who are your favorite authors?
-Guy Gavriel Kay, Ursula K. Le Guin, Sean Stewart, Jack London, a bunch of minor others

What are your favorite movies?
-The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, The Village

What type of music do you listen to?
-Mostly soft and alternative rock, also random things Silver throws at me, anything that sounds okay

What are your favorite colors?
-Blue, grey, brown

What is your personal motto?
-[insert witty comment about honesty and courage here]

What is your weapon of choice?
-A dog to chase and subdue the opponent, an itak to lop his head off. (Or a bolo I think in English).

Anything else you'd like to add?
-Mrrrmrr?

Mostly classic rock, classical, progressive rock and a bit of metal.

What are your favorite colors?

What is your personal motto?
I don't have one sad.png

When I go medieval, a sword. Other times, I prefer to use le infamous red brick also known as Eldest.

grin.png And you do hilarious t-shirts about kiwis, too.

Nah, it's a reference to Redwall (what else does one expect from me?) from The Bellmaker when Bowly uses Mariel and Dandin's old stale scones to beat up rats. I found Bowly annoying, but his use of stale scones hilarious.
